#DavidAaronovitch, an eminent British journalist & #OrwellPrize winner, who works for @thetimes, #TheBBC & @IndexCensorship informed the TwitterSphere some while back that I am a RACIST.

This is something I want the world to know, because it's important.

Anyone who has ever been called a RACIST knows the severity of this accusation & the devastating consequences it can have, which are on a par with being called a fascist, a Nazi or a paedophile. It is intimidating in the extreme.

I don't doubt David's sincerity in believing me to be a RACIST, as do some others I have discussed the issue of Race with, but nor do I doubt that they are mistaken. I know myself far better than they do, & that I'm not a RACIST. At least, not in the damning sense implied.

They are mistaken because of an Orwellian shift in meaning that has occurred in regard to the word, RACISM, which used to mean hatred or contempt for someone or some group on account of their race or ethnicity, but now simply means prejudiced, which everyone is - about everyone.

Prejudice comes with being human & to demonise it is lunacy. It is something we must all learn to live with.

To be prejudiced in favour of one own kin is healthy human nature, & only #BigBrother & his minions would - &, of course, do - claim otherwise.

David Aaronovitch calls me a RACIST, because of this Orwellian shift in the meaning of RACISM, & this despite him having been awarded the #OrwellPrize for his political writing in 2001, I believe.

This is why it is important.

Because millions of White people around the world, like me, are also being unjustly demonised as RACISTS.

It's madness, but with method to it, which urgently needs to be understood, especially by academics.

Note that I'm not demonising David for his demonisation of me, which would only convince him all the more that I'm the nasty kind of person he already believes me to be. And divided we will fall. I don't just mean David & me, but our entire civilisation.

The reason I got in touch with David in the first place - about 5 years ago now - was to try & clarify what divided us on the issue of race, because I agreed with him on so many other issues. I naively thought that I could discuss it with him, but it wasn't possible.

He flatly refused to discuss the issue of race & national identity with me, implying that my views were RACIST. He wouldn't engage with me at all & muted me on Twitter. All because of his misguided, Orwellian & moral-supremacist, understanding of RACISM.

It's not just David, of course. His views are mainstream. I'm the oddball, but I'm still right, as oddballs often are, & I will keep speaking out against the lies & deceit being imposed on us by BigBro & his minions, which is the only hope our civilisation has of survival.

I believe that the very survival of civilisation depends on David & I becoming friends & allies.

This is why I don't demonise or attack him for demonising me as a RACIST. He's mistaken & misguided, that's all, along with mainstream academia, politics & the media.

I understand how difficult it must be for David to recognise his mistake & correct it, so I'm not holding my breath in expectation of him doing so. But I hope he does. It would give me immense pleasure.
