There was a period, when every Hindu Organisations including Ramkrishna Mission, Hindu Mahasabha, Arya Samaj spoke of Shuddhi (re-converting to Hindu Fold) & wanted Hindus to give away shackles of caste for same.

Instead of blaming them as reformist & Christian stooges+

One need to understand Politics, situation of that period.

Why all were on same page?

Recently we came across a case where a BJP’s MLA’s mother converted to Christianity.+

A thing was observed that a child deemed to be Shudra by birth ran into the Mandir & heavy fine was imposed (₹25,000).

It is high time to realise that such incidence don’t lead to conversion.

People need to get over this lie that it was only Caste that avoided complete conversion in India.

Egypt, Persia etc etc all had caste system in place but how quickly they got converted?

Introspection is important than blindly supporting few things.

Genetics prove that at least 2 millennia back inter-caste marriage was common in India .

Now what I see as interesting here is that many people standing for Varna =caste & as important yardstick based on birth, disagree with @NileshOak ‘s date for Mahabharata, & hence place many Smritis too to recent time which as per them prohibits ICM too.

But then we had intercaste marriage around that period as per genetics.
So either their claim to see Nilesh Oak’s date is wrong or they have wrong perception about ancient India’s caste system.
