1/Impt work by @WSJ showing depth of financial conflicts among fed judges. This is not new as 20 years ago my client ABPnews.com (now defunct) sought to annually create online access to these disclosure filings, something still missing.
2/We literally sued every sitting Fed judge to obtain access to their then current financial disclosure records. Many, not surprisingly, were unhappy with our legal efforts. The @WSJ article shows why.
3/It was an unprecedented lawsuit that needed to be filed. These records should ALWAYS be available online, so long as proper security exists to protect safety of judges & their families (i.e., delete identifying info that could be used to dox).
1/#Trump suffers major loss in arbitration against #Omarosa for 2018 book w/ruling that NDAs are enforceable under NY law as "vague and indefinite". I litigated Trump NDA cases & these were nothing but aggressive attempts to intimidate frmr employees.
2/Notably, we now learn that #Trump withdrew all his claims abt #Omarosa's time in White House. In 2018, I wrote in @PostOpinions that these NDAs were unconstitutional in those circumstances.
3/Trump & his Administration repeatedly crossed the line trying to illegally silence former federal employees, as I wrote in 2019 when I was representing a former senior WH staffer fighting Trump's aggressive efforts.
More impt, Maher is FACT witness for 1/6 event. He helped shut down DHS monitoring of domestic extremists who led coup attempt. Why?
#Maher was recently detailed to @January6thCmte from @DHSgov, where he is a top attny. He replaced our client as Acting Undersecretary of Intelligence & Analysis in 8/20. I&A is part of Intelligence Community & mission is to monitor homeland for threats
3/We are floored that @January6thCmte hired #Maher as senior staffer. Would 1945 Joint Committee of Congress investigating Pearl Harbor bombing have hired the Base Commander as part of its staff? Of course not!
Then why has Committee hired someone they should be investigating?
I have been rep'ng @CapitolPolice Ofc #HarryDunn for 5 months & during that time he appeared in many interviews to discuss his #Jan6th experience. Only once did he receive a hostile msg UNTIL @TuckerCarlson's monologue last night. Then things changed.
2/In wake of that rant on @Foxnews, numerous vile/racist msgs have been sent to Ofc Dunn. Many msgs specifically cite Carlson. I've experienced this before. During 1st Trump impeachment when I rep'd IC #whistleblower, death threats didn't arrive until right-wing pundits spoke out
