the Bāṇastambha (a pillar) erected on the sea-protection wall. This is inscribed on a pillar since 7th century CE, which proves that Indians knew about South Pole much ahead of others.
Somnath temple is ancient among the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Siva,
which is located in Prabhas Patan near Veraval in Saurashtra on the western coast of Gujarat.
The temple has been also mentioned in Vedas and Puranas. Apart from this, the Purana also describes the Sparsa Linga of Somnath as one bright as the sun. The Mahabharata too refers to the Prabhasa Kshetra and the legend of the moon worshipping Shiva.
You will be amazed to note that South Pole and Antarctica were mentioned in Uttara Rayamana, also and that too long back. In Mahabharata, Somnath is described as a city south of the confluence of river Saraswati to the sea.
The place has been recorded history of at least 1400 years. Since the time Chandra or Soma or Moon worshipped Shiva here to expel curse. Lord gets the name Somnath, which means ‘lord of the moon.’

Sadhguru explains Krishna's “blue magic”
Blue is the color of all-inclusiveness. You will see in the existence, anything that is vast and beyond your perception generally tends to be blue, whether it is the ocean or the sky.
Anything which is larger than your perception tends to be blue because blue is the basis of all-inclusiveness. It is based on this that so many gods in India are shown as blue-skinned. #Shiva has a blue skin, #Krishna has a blue skin, #Rama has a blue skin.
