finally the work of David Shoebridge gets a look in. Now that we have spent hours and hours broadcasting the Liberal Party perspective of a Liberal Party leader resigning due to being under investigation for multiple counts of dishonesty and corruption.

there seems a lot of confusion around why Berejiklian resigned. The reason is the NSW Liberal Party room decided she is too big a political liability given the ICAC publicly announced it is investigating her on four counts of dishonesty and corruption.

they moved on her when the ICAC made public what they all knew was coming. It is not rocket surgery.

btw, as transport minister, Gladys Berejiklian oversaw the shift from transit officers to over 600 fully armed police patrolling NSW trains and stations. Police issue more infringements and proceed with more charges for fare evasion against 10-17 year olds than any other offence.

like Morrison and his #Robodebt trajectory from Human Services to Treasurer to Prime Minister causing huge devastation. Berejiklian as Transport minister, treasurer and premier is responsible for violent and targeted mass criminalisation of kids from low income families on PT.

kids with unpaid fines cannot get their drivers licence and then can not compete for jobs. Berejiklian spent her time as transport minister actively causing [further] marginalisation and disadvantage and enabling criminalisation of children and young people in western Sydney.

not the corrupt married man from Wagga. Berejiklian. THEN she chose not to contain the Bondi covid outbreak and complacently watched it spread devastation across west and south west Sydney where her policies have been causing huge hardship long before the pandemic.

but sure, keep asking whether ICAC should have delayed its investigation into four counts of corruption and dishonesty because she is the Premier - whose decisions have caused thousands of people in west and south western Sydney to get very sick as well as criminalised.

the ABC remembering Berejiklian for “she introduced the Opal card” yes with its mass expansion of police surveillance of people on city, western, and south western train lines. Gladys was nothing if not her big government carceral politics.

“freedom” rhetoric is always a deadset giveaway of big expensive surveillance government and carceral politics like Berejiklian has enacted throughout her political career.

please leave my mentions with this false “Perrottet is worse” dichotomy. So what. Morrison is worse than Turnbull. So was Abbott. So is Dutton. The Liberal Party only recruits and promotes terrible people. Berejiklian is one of them/ fin.
