Senior Advocate AS Nadkarni: These areas have been notified under the Punjab Land Preservation Act.
In the judgment of Kant Enclave, it was held that these areas were to be held as forest areas, therefore they are being treated as forest.

SG: Please come to Section 4 of the amending Act. They are in the city areas, so it cant be forest land.

#SupremeCourt: No, then we will have this question that how can this land be included in the development plan of the forest?

#SupremeCourt: This amendment is fine but for that we have to see if the development authority had the power to include nay area which was notified as forest area.

[ORDER]: we have heard counsel for the parties. We call upon the State of Haryana to file affidavit of authorised officials to state.. the factual basis as to how the area has been notified as forest area.. state enactment or central enactment.
