Tristan Harris (leading voice speaking out about big tech, star of the documentary "The Social Dilemma") recently went on @chrislhayes to talk about Facebook.
In the interview, Tristan noted that many ex-Facebook employees refer to Facebook as a "cult." See for yourself 👇
Corporate cults are indeed real. Enron is the most notable example. Like a religious or political cult, corporate cults have an authoritarian structure, with a leader at the top of the pyramid. Corporate cults usually emphasize corporate cohesion and unity of belief and purpose.
Corporate cults (and all authoritarian cults) include the following characteristics:
For years, former Facebook employees have referred to Facebook as a “cult.” They've noted that FB's corporate culture discourages dissent, holds back employees who aren't pro-Facebook enough and even punishes some employees who choose to leave. inc.com/minda-zetlin/f…
As people rush to #DeleteFacebook and the platform is scrutinized, I also hope the STRUCTURE of the company is explored. Quite often, as was the case with Enron and Theranos, the corporate misdeeds inflicted upon society EMANATE from a cult-like atmosphere. I hope we learn more.
To learn more about corporate cults, check out my blog from earlier this year. I interviewed Dr. Dennis Tourish, an expert on corporate cults and we go deep. freedomofmind.com/corporate-cults

In my 45+ year investigation of mind control I've talked about cults. I've talked about trafficking, pimps, multilevel marketing, violent extremism + more.
But there's an area I HAVEN'T spoken enough about:
How colonizers used and still use mind control over Indigenous people.
When Christopher Columbus arrived on this continent in 1492, 100 million Indigenous people lived here according to estimates from historians.
To FORCIBLY occupy and steal Indigenous land, colonizers needed to "justify" their immoral actions.
Enter "The Doctrine of Discovery."
The Doctrine of Discovery was passed by Pope Nicholas V in 1452. It gave European colonizers the perceived right to forcibly occupy Indigenous lands on the basis that Indigenous peoples were not Christian, therefore non-human. It stated their land was "virgin" and could be taken.
I am not without my contradictions. I will keep my Instagram account (a Facebook company), and a business page but I'm only doing this to help people out of cults (who aren't on other channels). I will not have a personal account nor will I interface on the platform.
The recent Facebook whistleblower revelations should come as NO surprise to anyone paying attention. Time and time again, Facebook has acted AGAINST the public interest. Facebook takes no issue sowing division or giving teenagers suicidal ideations if it makes Facebook money.
In the United States, and around the world, courtrooms are wholly UNPREPARED to deal with the issue of undue influence.
Why is this? Well, think about it...
In a domestic dispute, a bruise or broken property is easy to show. Mind control is harder...
An authoritarian cult leader or a sex trafficking pimp could essentially ENSLAVE someone, depriving them of basic human rights but if they NEVER left a scratch on their victim's body, in our current court system, it would be difficult to find this predator guilty.
Why is this?
Because at least in the U.S., we have NO scientifically validated instrument to evaluate unethical influence! Our laws are 100 years behind our current knowledge of psychology, neuroscience & human social sciences. This is a big reason cults like Scientology still freely operate.
If you are a Christian Trump supporter, I want to ask you a question (and I PROMISE this won't be snarky or mean 🙏).
In Christianity, isn't Jesus the one TRUE messiah? Didn't the Bible WARN us against false prophets?
Well, have you heard about the Moonies & what THEY claim?
The Moonies are a Korean cult. I was a leader for 2+ years, left the cult in 1976 and have been speaking out against them & other destructive cults ever since.
Its leader Sun Myung Moon (now deceased) claimed HE was the Messiah.
Moon said:
"Out of all the Saints sent by God, I think I am the most successful one already as it now stands." (MASTER SPEAKS 5/17/73)
Moon also claimed Jesus didn't really "get the job done" which thus required a NEW Messiah (Moon) to come along and fix things. Another quote:
