"I'm scared to approach her. She might reject me."

- What would you grandfather say?
- What would he tell you to do?

He'd say "Do you still have a pair of nuts? Man up and stop being a pussy. Do it, or some other guy will."

Channel that old school energy and go after it.
Rejection means nothing. Absolutely nothing

Do you know how many times I've been rejected?

A lot.

Guess what? I moved on and approached someone else

Many of the women who denied me told me straight up how they respect the boldness

What do you have to lose?
Rejection is necessary.

Think of it as gods way of protecting you from people you won't vibe with.

Imagine if you couldn't reject people....

You'd be forced to accept anyone who came your way.

That would be awful.
You're not for everyone. And everyone isn't for you.

The more people you approach, the more you face rejection, the closer you get to finding the people you do connect and vibe with.

Natures way of linking people together.

10 lessons on influence from one of my favorite books

If you want people to like you, start here....

// Thread // Image
1. Stop criticizing people

We all make mistakes.

Stop jumping to criticize people when they do.

It's counterproductive.

Most people become defensive and stop listening.

Instead, lead by example and offer your help.

None of us are perfect. No need to remind people.
2. Praise people often

It's easy to point out weaknesses.

Do you ever point out their strengths?

Compliment them if they look nice.
Praise them when they do a good job.

Your kind words will cheer them up and give you a special place in their heart.

From awkward loner to becoming the life of the party.

- 5 steps I used to overcome social anxiety -

(STORY THREAD)
It feels like it was yesterday...

Upset and smoking as I looked out my window.

This is was my life: wake up, videogames, look at phone, sleep.

I was depressed, lonely, and didn’t want to be alive.

I was panicking.

I couldn’t believe this is what my life had become.
Everyone else seemed to be having the time of their lives.

Partying, traveling, and enjoying life.

Here I was, spending most of the day in my room, alone.

Each day felt worse. My anxiety became intense.

The sadness grew deeper.

How did I get to this point in my life?

I used to have panic attacks at college

Step in the classroom, sit down, and BOOM, panic and anxiety would set in

I'd immediately get up, leave the class and do deep breathing in the hallway

I believed the classroom was causing the panic

So I stopped going...until
I had enough of the constant need to escape

I was tired of fearing the classroom..

I was tired of fearing "What will people think if they see me having a panic attack?"..

I was tired of running...
One day I told myself "Today, I'm not running anywhere. I don't care how bad it gets. I don't care. Let whatever happen. If I faint, pass out and everyone makes fun of me so be it, but today, I'm not running."

So, I went to class and braced for it

The Art of Journaling

- 5 Tips for Keeping a Journal -

(THREAD)
Journaling is a game changing tool. Many sleep on it because they’re worried about being made fun of for keeping a diary. It makes you think of a young girl writing about her crush as school. But guess what? You’re not writing for other people. You’re writing for you.
Life's too short to not do something because others might make fun of you. They’re judging you for recording your thoughts & experiences. How stupid is that? Self-reflection and self-awareness, how horrible! In reality, these people are chained to the opinions of other people.

Stop suffering in advance

If you're anxious about some possible future event, say to yourself: "I will deal with it when (If) it comes, but until then, I will focus on my present reality."

- Accept the worst case scenario
- Focus on what's in your control now

Peace of mind
"But how do I accept the worst case scenario? Why would I want to accept it and give it?"

1- Acceptance isn't resignation.

Acceptance means to acknowledge a possible future (or current) reality. You see the situation for what IT IS, not what You want it to be.
When you're able to face the worst in your mind and accept it as a possibility, stress and anxiety decreases. You stop resisting what could happen.

Most likely, what you're worried about is totally outside your control.

No point in stressing something you can't change.
