@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #1-"the cop one"
unlike most mayoral candidates contending in this race; i believe in the abolition of our policing institutions. we can build a safety department which doesn't wield any lethal power(power no state should hold btw) #AbolishThePolice
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #2-"the crime one"
most crime is not a something we should fight from the top down but eliminate from the bottom up via assuring a society where needs are provided for; acts of desperation will be drastically reduced..
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine ..we can have shelter for all; a basic income; better wage laws + a public system which allows all public participate. eliminate this petty crime by addressing the source of it (destitution/poverty) #UnfuxSociety
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #3-"affordable housing"
even our middle-class is poverty level now. we need to address this housing crisis being manufactured scarcity for greed. we can have public shelter for all; we can have better rental/ownership rights/protections. #HousingForAll
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #4-"transit"
take over marta from their board to return to citizen control public can vote our for our transit system of the future which the private entity marta has steadfast dragged its foots on building out...
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine too many people relying on their private transit while most know we alleviate such by providing more attractive and functional mass/public transit. make it attractive by making it fare free while covering every inch of city of atlanta. #PublicTransit
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #5-"development incentive"
by opening contracting up to anyone / everyone; private industry will have to compete with the little guy for a change...
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine ..this public infrastructure of developers/builders/maintenance will drive growth/repair all over the city while clearing the trifling bottlenecks that come with exclusionary private industry doing things rather than it being people helping out too. inclusion will seed innovation
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #6-"corruption/transparency"
transparency is grand. love it! all public dealings are to be kept public + documented. rather than making deals that benefit a few people..
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine ..do coolgood projects which help the many(like UBI) rather than another; 'oh we built this another shoppingcenterpark where the majority of the wealth will go to a few benefactors & lots of exploitation happens to those who work within😀'
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #7-"environmental protection"
my politics most align with the green party; would work towards a goal of much more ecofriendlyness. fix our wastewater system so we stop spilling sewage...
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine clean up many toxic soils & such. for any tree which needlessly be cut, may 20 more get planted; seed the city with bumblebees, build out energy harvesting (wind/solar) to benefit public energy need; that sort of good stuff. #Bees!!!
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #8-"development & gentrification"
universal basic income is a big development we need bein. we begin to combat gentrification by creating equity. we create equity via distributing from a public fund to all atlanta denizens $2,000 per month...
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #9-"buckhead city"
they shouldn't want to split; and even though im not a fan of that bourge burb, i think they'll do better to stick with us down here in the city core with all our coolgood society what could be coming...
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #10-"pandemics/public health"
provide for conditions to allow quarantine. don't force people into danger and most the danger vanishes like magic. we can assure public safety with universal healthcare for all rather than only for those with money. #Medicare4All dental/mental too.
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine #11-"state v city"
if our coolgood thing bothers ~the state~ so much; they can eat our whole ass, because all this new city of atlanta aims to do is directly subvert purposefully broken status quo which keeps the many at a disadvantage...
@ThatSeanKeenan@AtlantaMagazine ...all laws implemented will surely only directly do drastic public good; so there will be no problems especially ones we cana't handle thx ;) #alexb4mayor
i may be half-dead; but it's still rude for @CityofAtlanta to bury me.
thought my pinned post showed me emerging from a SHALLOW grave; i been digging for years upward but hateful exclusion; bigotry & xenophobia has kept my coolgood mayoral bid tightly dirt-napped.
this election is even less fair than 2017; where at least these debates were open to the public so i could just waltz up on stage half-dozen times.
this round such behavior of showing up at these mayoral venues(forums/debates) gets me promptly shoved out and even handcuffed / stuffed in a squad SUV.
there's been even less chance for we grassroot candidacies to find any level ground in this contest.
@Kmc96241610@AaronDiamantWSB@wsbtv@KeishaBottoms i also ran for mayor in 2017. keisha won~in my opinion~via having the most money in the race. had the democratic establishment behind her as the news media assumed the frontrunners for us.
anyway during this undemocratic election-cycle keisha repeatedly sat my as i was left out..
@Kmc96241610@AaronDiamantWSB@wsbtv@KeishaBottoms ..of debates, town halls and the entire narrative of who was running. what was a sick side effect of this is there was essentially 0 reporting on the why these 10+ peoples were running-allowing it to be simplified to a pony race rather than something dignant, equitable..
