Will my Twitter account make $83,300/mo?

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<<
This is a story about how I was FORCED to make money out of my Twitter account…

And how I’m gonna leverage it to make more money than my Twitter account actually can.

Sounds weird.
I know.
But let me explain…
About a month ago I started getting dozens of DMs per day.

Most of them said something along those lines:

“George teach me copy”

I started answering all of them.
Discussions. Hours upon hours. With each person.

Burned through my time like it’s worth nothing.

But…
This got me to a realization.

I need to help those people.
But I can’t do it 1-on-1.

My time is just too expensive to do it for less than $300/hr.

(Don’t DM me. I won’t sell my time for $300/hr either).

So…
I was forced to create a digital product.

But…
I have a rule.
I won’t create ANYTHING if it won’t make me at least 6 figures in the long run.

Now here’s the problem:
Even if I get my account to 20k followers…

Or even to 50k…

I doubt a copywriting course will make 6 figures solely with this Twitter account.

So…
I had to think outside the box.

And I came up with a 12-step plan on how to make $1,000,000 from my Twitter account next year.

That’s $83,000/month.

Will I actually make a million dollars? Probably not. But…

Here are steps 1 and 2 of the plan:
Step 1: Create a digital product.

I’ve started working on my own copywriting course.

It will be something like you’ve never seen before.

My unique method.

And I’m gonna sell it on this Twitter account.

That’s step one.
Sounds simple enough right?

But there’s step two:
Step 2: Leverage and re-invest.

This step is where the fun begins.
Because — selling a course to a warm audience?

Bleh.
You don’t need a lot of skills to do that.

But you do need some skills to expand your audience beyond organic to make more money.

So here’s what I’ll do:
I’ll take ALL the money my course makes organically - and dump it into Twitter ads.

Again. Sounds simple.

But I’m a numbers guy.
My beliefs in life literally do not allow me to dump money without looking at ROI.

(Return on investment).

So here’s the plan:
I will test every single applicable objective on Twitter ads - to see which generates the best ROI.

I’ll try promoting the sales page straight as is.

I’ll try writing a small thread and plugging the link below.

I’ll try running “followers” ads.

I’ll try EVERYTHING.
But…
Here’s the problem:

How do you count long-term ROI?

For example…
If I run a followers campaign…

How will I track which ones of the people who bought (could be 2 months after they followed me)…

Came from the followers campaign?

I’ll be honest:
I have no clue.
That’s for me to figure out.

But anyway — back to the topic.

I will see where I get the best ROI and dump every single dollar there.

The money I make from those ads? Are also gonna be re-invested back into more ads.

Sounds like fun.
But there’s more:
There are two things I understand:

1. I’m not gonna make $1M dollars with one product.

2. I want to share my results with you.

Which leads me to step three.
Step 3 is gonna allow you to see everything I do…

While making me more money in steps 4 and 5.

Now…
Do you want me to write a thread outlining my next steps?

I gladly will.
But here’s the thing…

Being the analytical person I am…
Every single one of those threads is driven by emotion. Not logic.

When I wanna… I write.
If I don’t wanna - I don’t.

So…
Here’s what you do:

You follow me @GrammarHippy to make sure you don’t miss any of my next threads.

Or don’t if you don’t care about them :)
And the next thing you do…

If you want me to write the next thread…

I’ll make sure to publish the next thread ASAP.

Storytelling is the driving force behind copywriting.

But you probably never noticed…

How Hollywood controls your attention using storytelling…

And how world-class copywriters do so too:

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<<
If you’re new to copywriting you might think…

What’s so great about stories?

And there are many things “normal people” know about:

• stories get attention
• they’re interesting
• they evoke emotions

Etc. but there’s more:
Copywriters who understand persuasion also know two more things about stories:

1. Stories create empathy
2. Stories remove resistance

Look. It’s simple:
If I say “you’ll lose 20 pounds” - you might object…

But if I say “Sally lost 20 pounds” - there’s nothing to object to..

How to DOMINATE an industry using only two words.

Did you know…
That you could take the biggest content creators on Twitter…

And beat them at their own game?
They might hate me for this…

But they’ll gain a lot more by reading this 👇

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<<
I promised you can do this with two words.

Here they are.

• Positioning
• Awareness

That’s all you need.
Lemme explain how.

But for this we’ll need to take an industry as an example.

Let’s take cold emails as an example for an industry.

Fair?
Here it is:
If we look at the cold email industry we’ll see a few big dogs.

But…
What are they selling?

They’re selling “how to do cold emails”.

And.. Who are they selling to?

They are selling to people who are aware.

They’re aware of a solution called cold emails.
So…

Use these 4 words to sell anything.

It’s called “the 2-question close”

This works perfectly for people who suck at sales. Like me 👇
I’ve used this 2-question close to sell anything I needed to.

And while it’s not a “full system” that you’d want if you’re selling professionally…

It’s more than enough if you need a “quick fix”.

Are you ready?
Question 1: why me?

Let the prospect talk.
Don’t interrupt.

He’s gonna give you 50% of the ammunition you need to close.

When he’s done talking…
Ask the next question:

I walked into our office with a huge smile on my face.

My investor was already there.
Looking unhappy.

Apparently it was about a message I sent the night before.

This is not a story about investors.

This is a story of how we broke Facebook and made $67,000 in one day 👇
This is the message I sent him the night before:

“We hit $4,000/day. I’m so happy. It’s a dream come true”.

You see… I’ve never made that much money in a whole month at the time.

And now I made it in ONE DAY.
So I was happy.

But he wasn’t.
Here’s what he told me:
“I’m very disappointed. You think $4K/day is the dream? I guess I should’ve invested in someone else”.

It felt like a knife.
Slicing through everything I ever believed in.

“But it’s freaking FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS. In ONE DAY” - I protested.

He wasn’t convinced.

It took me 30 days to get my first 1,200 followers.

Then 21 days to get to 3,000.
But I learned the hard way…

That “good value”…

SUCKS when it comes to getting you followers.

But you still have to tweet it.
Because without it.. your account dies.

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<<
First - context:

My account is on Twitter since 2013.
That’s why many don’t believe this:

My first tweet was on August 6th.
That’s 51 days ago.

And it got 0 likes.
Zero replies.
Nothing. Crickets.

It’s painful when you feel like you’re talking to a wall.

But then…
Slowly I started figuring things out.

People suggested to…
• Do paid ads
• Pay for Retweets
• Beg big accounts for RTs

I didn’t do any of those.
100% of my growth here has been organic.

Not a penny spent.
No “small letters”. All clean.

So how did I do it?

Become the James Bond of copywriting…

Using a sneaky little trick…
Which includes…

• Stealing
• Copying
• Bashing

Without feeling guilty.

>>> A Thread 🧵 <<<
You probably already know the saying…

New copywriters write.

While experienced copywriters assemble.

But…

Even experienced copywriters get this wrong more often than they’d like to admit.

And it all starts with one word:
Competition.

Now.
If you ask a newbie what competition is?

You’ll get a danger sign blipping in their brain.

For them?
Competition = red ocean = stay away

But…
They don’t even understand competition.

Hell.
They can’t even say who their competitors are.

Can you? 👇
