In less than 2 years, I have seen some very good friends of Twitter & belonging to the same ideological spectrum as me, become an adversary.
Does this causes me pain; of course it does. Was I at fault; of course not. So, what went wrong?

Let me try & analyse in this thread!
Firstly are we (me & my friends from twitter as mentioned in the quoted tweet) really an adversary?

The answer is an emphatic NO! Then where is the problem?

After an analysis, I realised that it is all that war between perception & perspective!

It occurred to me that relationships formed on SM can sustain itself only if we have similar perspectives or perceptions.
Other option is to allow “let us agree to disagree” maxim become cornerstone of bonds. Else, very nature of social media will end up consuming what u create!
So long as I shared those people’s perceptions, we remained thick of friends and used to argue and laugh and confide in each other and help and pull up each other. The moment our respective perspectives began affecting our perceptions, dialogue stopped and bonds began to suffer!
I used to be very critical of govt & would often found myself at loggerheads with it. Then I got a chance to look at the govt from within & how various pulls and pressures function & define actions of the govt on particular issue in that moment-I gained different PERSPECTIVE
Quoting Covey- “To change ourselves effectively, we first had to change our perceptions.”-stint in govt gave me perspective, which in turn changed my perception!

Some folks link it to power & associated opportunities but that argument don’t affect me anymore as I know I’m clean!
Owing to my new perspective, I formed a perception that was diff & hence wasn’t taken too kindly by some of my old friends of social media. They linked it to salary and called it a death of my “vivek”- when in reality mera dekhne ka nazariya hee badla, main yaa ideology nahi!
The quote of Oprah “Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough”- in the context of the govt of our own guides my understanding of the issues and the Govt working!
No body is perfect in this world and so can’t be a govt- which will always have its imperfections. But within everything I realise that by ensuring the continuity of @narendramodi govt, together we will be able to achieve more- hence I focus on what we have, not what we don’t!
In time the very continuity of the govt of @narendramodi beyond 2024 will alone ensure that what we don’t have today, we will have tomorrow. Govt’s work and operate as a continuum. It is not a static concept but a dynamic one. And hence things evolve.
Aldous Huxley famously said-“There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception”- what us supporters need to understand is that there unlike govt’s 360 degree view, ours is significantly small-may not be in double digits individually!
What we see from supporters on Twitter is mostly perception developed on the basis of our own interpretations,fm wt v see/ hear/read or become aware of & is derivative of our beliefs, that we use to perceive a certain situation/action/inaction when reality is markedly different!
As against that, perspective is our POV or the way to look @ whole “picture”;but doing that requires us to step back & see things, not in isolation but as a whole. Unfortunately, our knowledge & access to details is not enough to support that view!
Precisely why when faced with a stalemate, we often hear problemsolvers tell us-lets try to see it from a different perspective to find a solution that helps.....hence a request to those who are reading this thread n have come this far- change your perspective- will make u happy!
Just to give you a small perspective- before @narendramodi was voted to power- our political battles centred around pressurising then UPA govt into not brining CVB firstpost.com/politics/9-rea… or fighting the case against UPA govt's affidavit on Lord Rama or protesting corruption!
As against battles of pre @narendramodi phase as outlined here
what are we fighting- after seeing 370 go & Prabhu ShriRam Mandir close to becoming a reality- abt freeing our temples/why Savarkar is relevant or y bullet train or monetisation of assets etc!
Voices like Professor Anand Ranganathan, who would never get a platform other than his TL or one or two obscure channel, is everywhere on TV telling us about how particular verse of a falana dhikana book is anti humanity....or Irfan Habibs questioning @vikramsampath 's book! :)
Nowadays people have a problem with the fact that talented folks like @ShefVaidya & @SUKETDHIR_ are serving on a committee relating to their area of expertise or BJP leaning people are getting space on various platforms so much so that @AmitShah ji gave i/w to @23pradeepsingh Ji!
Gone are the days when even PMs used to be on the speed dial of @ShekharGupta or @PrannoyRoyNDTV or @BDUTT or @sardesairajdeep -none of them got one i/w with PM @narendramodi in past 7 years-not once & this wn even Deepak Chaurasia got one-travelling with him is not even a dream!
Your chosen party & leader is in power- they are working as per their plan n have a complete view of everything, they have resources to execute those plans, monitor them & refine them as need arises-what they see,we cant; so trust them, change perspective to change ur perception!
Last but not the least- in the context of govt chosen by us- do value what we have & we will end up having more; but if we concentrate on what we don't have, we may never, ever have enough & also squander the opportunity that we got after decades of struggle!

Just a small ex of perspective.

For past few days, lot of ppl are blaming Govt for attacks on Bangladeshi Hindus; some even went to the extent of blaming CAA for this and how electoral considerations made govt do that and blah blah-it is another matter that CAA came after 2019!
It was in end 2004, when I visited Dhaka & I remember how hostile it was during those days.I was stopped by BD army enroute my hotel in Gulshan area and just because I could feel the hate in the way they talked and checked my passport….to cut long story short, it was bad for us!
The hostility for Indians in in BD then existed at both -Govt & societal level. Thanks to Indian support and more so after @narendramodi govt came in, hostility of the Hasina Govt toward India has become a thing of past-so much so that Islamist parties accuse her of Indian agent!

Don’t say that he is not a Nihang- he was facilitated before his arrest by his jattha.

Reality is that modern day Sikhi is hostage of those who find common cause with the ideology, it was raised (from Hindus) to fight against!

They are agents of Izlamiztz from across border!
It was Indian media and public alike who glorified and mainstreamed these people protesting at Singhu border timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/delhi/awe…
When this @RakeshTikaitBKU said that they don’t represent farmers, he is lying - they celebrated this moment when Nihangs joined them news18.com/news/india/gro…

At 7:45 this morning, I recd a call from our house help-a Nepali family. She wasn’t supposed to come as today was Dussherha- the biggest of festivals for Nepalese around the world. She was excited abt celebrations n had all her relatives invited to her place….it was a SOS call! Image
She said-“bhaiya,hamare ghar par police aa rakhi hai. It took me a little to figure out the issue as I knew that she was to be on leave today coz of celebrations at her home.Nepalis cook meat today and it is a day of family feast and all. They too had been rearing goat for months
When I reached there, I saw a girl but no police. The girl was doing recording of their premises and asking Qns. As plot is of my uncle, so I told her to get out of plot as her action was trespassing. She began recording me…. I knew that this must be some PETA shit and all….

Why make changes in area limits in border areas-
1) to bring in uniformity by making it uniform for 50 kms limit for all border states with non hill terrain like Guj, Bengal, Punjab and Assam- 50 kms limit is for hot pursuits within 1 hour range
2) 15 kms for hilly n NE states

I know usual suspects within Uttarakhand will call FLS sanction by @narendramodi Govt for Tanakpur- Bageshwar Railway line as an election gimmick- but let me share my views as to why it is NOT a gimmick but a huge development that will make this line a reality - thread follows!
What is FLS in the context of Railways?
Ans) Once route of new line is decided, FLS is done-
a) To study the contour maps
b) To prepare working details
c) To make accurate cost estimates
d) To prepare working details and make accurate cost estimates

In short it is DPR!
It can take anywhere b/w 1-2 years to complete FLS, it is done by efficient agency - given the experience of @RailVikas ,I feel it would be good if @AshwiniVaishnaw run ministry allots this survey to RVNL (gvn Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail experience) instead of Moradabad division.

Very good thread - democracy 1.0 comes with these associated risks and that’s why world of democracy has to evolve…especially in a country like India where corruption pervades every societal layer & one’s capacity to indulge/ or not in corruption is dependent on the opportunity!
That we tend to regard everyone, with access to an opportunity to indulge in making money by illicit means, as corrupt, is a example of society we live in. But brighter side of our society is that we also idolise everyone who conducts differently- @narendramodi is an ex of this!
One good thing about BJP is that it has an inbuilt mechanism where people who representing it leadership positions within states as CM are generally immune to corruption. They operate a cleaner administration and this is hallmark of BJP- u may not accept it but it is a reality!
