With today's coordinated rhetorical attack on the USCP & anyone else targeted by the far right fascist current owners of the Republican party, here's a link to my recent thread on far right ideology & tactics.
And below, I cover an overtly white nationalist a/c I just blocked.
(I'm trying to avoid this tweet being actioned by Twitter. The third line is a specific threat of violence.)
All 3 hashtags belie a viewpoint that is:
Racist
White nationalist
White supremacist
Nativist
Far right fascist*
Pro Trump
Pro GOP*
Anti police
Anti democracy
Terroristic
Violent
Disingenuous
Dishonest
Lame, and
Low IQ
If you want to know why I used any of those terms, just ask. Either below or by DM.
I'm proudly #XGOP, having spent >4 years in the cult of TFG. I'm very familiar with the beliefs held by the right & the left in the USA & elsewhere.
I usually say "far right fascism" as one phrase bc the far right try to claim they're not fascist, or that "both sides" can be fascist. Sometimes I use the term "far left fascism" but usually I just call it communism. The right are more of a threat than the left in the US rn.
My opinion of politics is summarized this way: The far right and far left are where violent extremists hang out. The moderate right and left still exist in the US. But the R party have allowed their far right brethren to take over. All are cowards except for Cheney and Kinzinger.
Cowards. And also, they endorse far right fascism bc it gives them permission to be their worst selves.
They LOVE to think of themselves as the party of Lincoln. Which is so dumb, because he spoke of "the better angels of our human nature"
Many Rs are too willfully ignorant to know that Republican President Lincoln was the first to use the term #BetterAngels, in 1861.
After #TrumpLost he went on record praising the Confederate cause in a press release about another traitor who lost, Robert E. Lee.
So dumb.
Which reminds me, the people of Virginia erected the wonderful #EmancipationAndFreedomMonument not far from where Lee's statue once stood. This local media story about it is a joy to read:
As usual, I became sidetracked and wrote a thread about a whole nother topic before completing this one.😁
Which BTW, is a reminder not to trust anyone who cannot laugh at themselves.
I think I've touched on the main issues above, & in the #BlackLivesMatter thread I linked.
Influencers associated with the Republican party are boosting false claims about the circumstances of a certain 1/6 rioter's unfortunate but lawful death.
Pay attention to who is always doing this.

1. We can't verify if Dennis Prager did in fact test positive for Covid. 2. We can't be sure he is unvaccinated. 3. It's possible that an unvaccinated person his age could survive Covid, but his cult followers are drawing all the wrong conclusions from his claim, as intended.
Here is the video & transcript, without commentary (from the above linked @JasonSCampbell tweet.) Keep an eye out for follow up articles with new info about Dennis Prager's claims re Covid. Prager is one of many RW influencers deploying the same schtick.
Before becoming #XGOP on 1/6, I never paid much attention to Prager and his disinformation media outlet @PragerU.
Since almost every national-level GOP politician officially came out as a far right fascist in 2021, I've been reviewing various media outlets in a new light...
When Colin Powell was dating his future wife Alma, he had to travel from NYC to Alabama, during the Jim Crow era. Almost everyone reading this has no idea what that was like for a black guy and girl.
84 years old, so can remember the end of WWII.
Worked for 5 US Presidents.
NB I haven't fact checked that - Powell worked for Nixon, then Reagan, Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43 and, I assume, Obama. Whether it was 4, or 6 presidents, his experience at the top levels of the federal government was almost unmatched in our time.
I first heard about Epstein's history in 2010 when the second son of QEII was exposed for his links to Maxwell and Epstein. In 2016 a lot more people became aware of the story because of Bill Clinton's many links to the couple. Maxwell was invited to Chelsea Clinton's wedding.
Being able to bring Epstein to trial would have been the best outcome for the survivors, the US, and other countries like the UK.
He had attempted suicide days before he died. It's extremely common for people facing child sex offense charges to suicide. The prison messed up.
Another way these grifters get away with openly racist comments is by calling those who riot or otherwise damage property "thugs." That is far right code for POC, and I saw ex-cop maga "influencers" referring that way to a crowd of rioters in FL during Spring Break 2021.
In the cult, current and former LEOs and military are automatically given more trust and respect than other people are. This is completely nuts, especially when you see TFG's real view of these institutions, and how he and his cult have treated the many (literal) heroes of 1/6.
In the 14 days before 1/6 my support for TFG was on its last legs. Like anyone else with half a brain, I could see there would be violence, and that even he would not be able to call them off.
I assumed the usual LE & military security plans would be in place. How wrong I was.
The reason that otherwise intelligent and sensible people like me could (for a time) support TFG is that we assumed these dangerous cranks had been deported out of his inner circle by mid 2017.
He brought them back in 2020, to plan 1/6 and the still-ongoing insurgency.
Michael Flynn is a good example of this phenomenon.
I don't call evil people "Mike" and I certainly never refer to the army rank that should be removed from him now.
He got a pardon. Read the list of of TFG's clemency recipients and you will see many of his 1/6 henchmen.
Flynn managed to stay quiet about his long game for almost 4 years.
He had some staffer manage his Twitter account and "follow back" tens of thousands of people. Those people then felt they were special because The General "followed" them.
In-joke alert: "Big if true" was in use as early as 2016 among the far right fascist grifter community. The much higher IQ @AccountableGOP community uses it ironically.
Grifters would say it when skeptical about a "news" story they hoped was true, as a way to hedge their bets.
Whenever I offer to help fellow #NeverTrump folk of any stripe, it's not to blow my own trumpet, not at all. It's to contribute in-kind to your fight for American democracy. I often see influencers comment on issues without knowing some of the inside maga knowledge that I have.
As a foreign national I can't lawfully donate or even buy merch from a campaign (a law abiding campaign, that is.) I can't afford to travel to the US right now. But like millions around the world, I want to help your cause. Because it affects people in other countries, like me.
