Condi Rice is, evidently, incapable of feeling shame.

Note she said "my party."

It's not MY party, anymore, I ran for the hills and am now firmly #XGOP. Not a liberal, either. I'm pro-democracy, period.

Condi is anti-democracy, and did NOTHING to stop Trump in 2016 or 2020.

I saw 1/6 coming, and I tweeted about it. Millions of people saw it coming. But we didn't have the ACCESS that people in Condi's position have, to prevent it.

The biggest failure was in the DHS.

They're meant to lead the inter-agency security planning for such events in DC.

Condi was in the administration when the DHS was proposed and formed.

Please, Condi. I don't believe you when you say the country should move on from 1/6. You KNEW in detail how the DHS planning role should work, and that is didn't, because of TFG meddling in it.

Condi KNOWS that a POTUS as CiC has the right to order the ~4,000 DC National Guard, and others, to PREVENT the breach of the Capitol's perimeter.

USCP and MPDC officers were not equipped to prevent injury (>140 cops) and to defend the perimeter.

Condi doesn't #BackTheBlue.

I hate to have to say this, but Condi Rice might be the highest ranking African American in the Republican party who is partially responsible for 1/6 even being allowed to happen, and for trying to cover up the party's central role in it.

Add her to the subpoena list.

A subpoena doesn't mean you're a suspect, it means you're a witness. Given her former and recent exec branch roles, Condi is well placed to help the Committee understand the USUAL security process, which shows us why THIS one was so insufficient. By design.

GWB is, evidently, smarter than Condi Rice. Because on 9/11/21 he spoke out VERY clearly against the ongoing far right fascist insurgency & the first of many coup attempts.

In fact, every living former POTUS should get a subpoena, too. Carter can use video, given his age.

Carter, Clinton, Bush, and Obama, are in a unique and highly valuable position to try to help more Americans understand the current constitutional and national security crisis. Their VPs, too.

They owe it to the country to speak up, at the right time, which I hope is soon.

The Committee is probably not the best vehicle for this idea (which I thought of while righting this thread, lol.) They have said they will likely have enough evidence even if they don't call TFG as a witness. Heck, I had enough evidence available on the day, and you did too.

I really hope these former presidents, VPs & the former heads of the DHS, State, & DOD sign a lengthy open letter explaining this.

If the best timing is later on, fine. They need to help rebuild public trust & confidence in the institutions that TFG & Putin partially crippled.

GWB should lead the process. Write to them inviting their input. Get it drafted & circulated with a time limit for signing or not. Then add the names of those who won't.

On 9/11/01 the passengers and crew of Flight 93 worked to crash their hijacked plane into a field in Shanksville, PA, and thereby saved the lives of every US Congressman, Senator, and others in the US Capitol at the time. It was one potential target, along with the White House.

Several of those in the Capitol that day owed their lives to the brave people on that flight. Including Mike Pence.

Condi Rice praised Mike Pence for restoring order on 1/6 but she didn't mention the fact he betrayed us all by now trying to whitewash and move on from that day.

Mike Pence should have ordered all the same security personnel who came in to clear the building to do so within the first hour, not four hours.

He knew in advance what would happen and he failed to inform the right people in those security agencies.

Just as culpable as TFG.
