Guys had symptoms and were sick for a long time before action was taken. One of the first guys tested positive was previously at the Kangaroo Point detention centre in Brisbane begging to be in a safe place when one of the guards tested positive there last year.

The government took away the health of everyone in detention.

Chris Breen - the Park Hotel is a steel death trap.
No doctor has seen the refugees who have tested positive at the hotel. There are 15 tested positive for #COVID19 now.

Hard to think of a greater crime against refugees than has been committed by the Australian government.
There’s no explanation why these refugees has been locked up for 8 years when others are freed.

It’s unacceptable that anyone stands by while the lives of refugees are destroyed.
There’s no valid reason for Morrison or Karen Andrews to keep these people locked up.
Many refugees have underlying medical conditions putting them at greater risk.

No one should live with the threat of deportation.
We need permanent protection and for an end to poor treatment of migrants in the workplace.

No one is free until all are free.

When the ambulance was called, ABF sent it away saying there’s medical treatment at the hotel.
But there’s no proper treatment. A nurse gives 2 panadol. No doctor has seen the refugees. Even paramedics not allowed in to assess the men.

Speaking of Kaveh who was in hospital for 3 months and who was taken to the Park Hotel for quarantine. He’s now in MITA after another stint in hospital. We are here for him as much as for anyone else.

Hearing from @FarhadBandesh who suffered from nearly 8 years of detention. When he was detained he protested against the danger of covid and now it is in detention.
The Australian government has put lives in danger. How dare they treat refugees like this!

This is fascist behaviour from the government. NZ has offered to take 150 people for years. Australia should just let them go.
