is the $600 million Kurri Kurri gas plant announcement good? If the feds want to spend (he means announce) 600 million taxpayer dollars in Kurri Kurri they can knock themselves out says Keane. #Insiders

nuclear? It doesn’t stack up, says Keane. People talking about nuclear to solve our current needs are chasing a unicorn, says Keane, but he is not going to rule it out for the future, he says. Jobs, he says. #Insiders

housing? Why are housing prices skyrocketing in the pandemic? Keane says low interest rates. Claims he wants to make the Australian dream of home ownership affordable without “destroying” the value of existing property. #Insiders

and finally the GST, says Speers. This is so blatant. Not one word about former Premier Baird testifying before the ICAC on former premier Berejiklian. Or deputy NSW Liberal leader Ayers at the ICAC. Or the fact current Premier Perrottet signed off on the Wagga handout. #Insiders

there has to be a more ambitious 2030 target taken to Glasgow by the prime minister, says Sava. Will he gave the ticker to take that higher target to Glasgow? National Party ministers might resign. If he does not do it he will not be taken seriously in Glasgow. #Insiders

and if he does not take a higher 2030 target he is weakened here, says Sava, again with no mention of the Voices movement. He is wedged, she says. Speers offers up NSW Liberal Party jobs comms, again. #Insiders

this is a politics show, says Karvelas. We discuss the politics here. But there is also an existential threat. How political leadership globally and nationally has failed to address and in fact has rapidly accelerated the existential threat is not quite reconciled. #Insiders

in response, van Onselen regurgitates a bunch of federal election timing speculation. Karvelas says if our cities are deserted the Morrison government could be “punished” by voters. I think she means voters might not vote for the local Coalition candidate. #Insiders

moving on to the Coalition protection of Porter in the parliament, Sava says they trashed parliamentary process. They could have ticked and flicked, she says. So what if there is a by-election in Pearce, says Sava. You think? asks Speers. #Insiders

that one time #Insiders declared van Onselen is a close friend and openly, publicly defends Christian Porter - hedged by Annabel Crabb “disclosing” she met, decades ago, the women allegedly raped by Porter - is not repeated. Peter freely gives his opinion on his mate. #Insiders

almost as tho the degree to which the Coalition trashed parliamentary process this week is a kind of macro reflection of the degree to which Speers and other Liberal Party supporters in the CPG have trashed #Insiders when you think about it.
