Ireland is following same pattern.. high infection of children (from uncontrolled spread in schools) .. & then high infection of their parents age-group (this has also been shown in USA)

Safer spaces should be re-purposed so that people can socialise at low risk. Crowding into basements & rooms with low ceilings is unnecessary & unsafe

Risk of super-spread is not about people, it’s about *places* 1/
Here’s a design idea from more than a year ago 2/
Some spacious places ~with high ceilings~ could be low risk by managing the number of people (yes, it can be calculated)

Some places are designed for high rates of ventilation, as smoke extraction (yes, this can be calculated too)

Some places that can add HEPA filtration 3/

(rough maths) 100m long queue, say 200+ people.. & Ireland had ≈25,000 new cases in last 14 days (actual infection likely 3x that).. so say 1.5% of population is currently infectious with #Covid19… the odds are 3+ people in this queue are infectious tonight 1/
… ONE PERSON who may be fully vaccinated & have no symptoms.. breaths out 72,000 copies of the virus in one hour… & vaccines give 50-90% protection from infection. Do the maths
..& unless the place has clean air (ventilation & filtration) super-spread can happen

When people “object” to #housing.. look closely at the housing..

*deregulated ventilation & daylight

🇮🇪HSE #Covid19 information is unscientific & unsafe. People are at risk of infection due to misleading, contradictory & out-of-date advice 1/

✅Covid19 is MOSTLY spread by aerosols from breathing & talking, NOT droplets from coughs & sneezes

✅Aerosols linger & spread >2m
✅ ‘social distancing’ of 2m is NOT a protection indoors, everyone breaths the same air

✅ virus can fill rooms & linger for hours in EMPTY rooms/lifts/vehicles

✅ risk from touching surfaces/hands/eyes is LOW

✅ respiratory virus are almost always INHALED by infected air 2/
✅ ventilation & filtration are critically important in ALL buildings & vehicles, whether crowded or not
✅ crowded indoor spaces are unsafe BEYOND 2M DISTANCE
✅ wear a mask EVERYWHERE INDOORS that isn’t your home
✅ cough & sneeze INTO YOUR MASK
✅ NORMAL cleaning is fine 3/

COVID IS NOT SPREAD ON HANDS*

Lungs have the surface area of tennis court & virus is inhaled in infected air

Telling people to wash hands to prevent a respiratory pandemic is negligence

*CDC: 1 in 10,000 risk from a touch, so possible but very unlikely
