how to create a successful NFT series (guide)
๐งต๐
first in foremost - this will be highlevel and
throughout the coming weeks,
ill drop the deep dive to each.
lets dive in ๐
1. identify your niche
reason why pfp projects succeed is way beyond the art.
its not about the fox, bears, toadz, apes, cats, etc.
its abt filling a certain void in the marketplace
its abt serving a certain demographic and
invoking a certain feeling.
ie. #bayc hits the hypebeast kinda crowd
- underground trendy type #coolcats hits the family fun crowd
- wholesome. #cyberkongz hits the token reward crowd
- $bananas = $$$
start your project with identifying the niche u are serving and the feeling you want ppl to have
2. what is your mark?
#nfts are still in a stage of evolution.
we are all trying to find the sweet spot that gains mass adoption
first came art, then collectables, gaming, etc.
what is your vision and what value would you like to add to the market place?
simply copy and pasting other's project
is not going to cut it.
artist - generation of the art
gen artist/dev - random image generation
backend dev - smart contract
backend dev - mint site
front end dev - mint site
community manager - discord/twitter management
marketer - collabs and outreach
founder - cheerleader/waterboy
now keep in mind ppl can take on multiple hats on the team.
a founder can be both the artist/marketer,
while a dev can be fullstack, etc.
make sure you scout out enough talent before beginning your project.
4. timeline
allocate no less than 2 months to launch your project.
obv depends on your expertise, team and efficiency.
set a launch date --> add extra 2 weeks
do things right, don't cut corners.
triple check your work.
5. budget
ranges as some devs take % of sales
while others would be willing to do a higher flat rate
typically 10-30% or ~50-100k for the dev part
artwork ranges widely depending on style + effort.
typically 10-50k+
depending on your confidence of the series,
% is good if you are not certain u'd sell out
flat is good if you are certain.
obviously if you have any of these skills
your cost will go down substantially.
6. marketing
marketing is all about painting a vision of the future
that people get excited about.
choose a marketing tactic that works for you.
- hype
- fomo
- scarcity
- brand collabs
- influencers
- contest
- paid
- build in public
combo of these would work well
be very careful, not to overpromise and under deliver.
if you project is good and if you have good work ethic
there is no need to do paid marketing + any black hat tactics.
Final thoughts:
authentic
- be real. be honest. be upfront.
- 0 reason not be show your face. (doxxed)
- be a good person and ppl will support you.
communication
- this is the one and only that will make or break your project
- communicate well and often
value
- your one and only job is to delivery value to your supporters.
- wake up and repeat this to you and the team.
- always find ways to deliver VALUE.
community
- your nfts derives from when ppl believe in you and your project
- moment ppl lose trust, they dump and your project goes down the drain.
- build your community, build your trust.
thats it friends.
i hope you the best of luck! ๐๐๐
like/retweet this
share it with your friends!
save it for later when you are ready to start your project!
ps: ill be doing a deep dive in the coming weeks
pss: you will want to turn on the notification... ๐
psss: much love to you. ๐๐๐

web3 is all abt being collaborative.
grow, learn and build tgt.
build your own community, but also be immersed in other communities. after-all, we are the grassroots of the industry and we can make a difference on how others perceive and onboard into web3.

sharing my personal experience so you can get the most out of @NFT_NYC
these principals are combined from my experience at @NFTLAlive + @veecon
hopefully, with these u can develop some meaningful relationships and build some impactful projects in web3!
lets dive ๐
1. be authentic
- ideas are a dime a dozen, it really comes back down to who you, the founder is.
- ultimately ppl do business with ppl.
- no need to be who you are not.
"bet on the jockey, not the horse."
rings even more true in web3.
lately i've had hesitation from posting much on twitter. aside from focus on building head down, i think the bigger reason is b/c of the fear of unconstructive comments.
ie. "oh ur project floor is dropping, get back to work!"
i know this isn't necessary personal to me, but rather overall nature of the industry.
so instead i focus on diving deep into our community to have a closer pulse of whats going on and their sentiment. really uncovering the root cause.
