Firstly he's crossed 20 returns in his last two seasons (wasn't on pens last season) and that was playing with an injury. It was visible how injured he was because every United fan will tell you there was a stark difference..(cont)
..in his performance once the niggles started coming. He was close to being top 5 player in the league before that. I said on the pod 2 weeks ago that if he's put the injuries behind him, he's going to play a big role in FPL. He's looked really good so far, getting sharper (cont)
..every game. Showing good finishing as well. Enough random waffle. Tactically want to talk about a few things. Ronaldo doesn't have the same pace anymore. I've noticed he's dropping deep a lot. Which means Rashy is making multiple runs behind the defence. He's pretty much (cont)
going to play as left fwd, not left winger. Will have a lot of shot volume imo. Also has developed a great understanding with Shaw on that side and they play well together. Ronaldo dropping deep also means him pulling defenders which equals more space for Rashy.. (cont)
and we have one of the biggest pass risk takers in the league in Bruno who is in the middle of some amazing creative form. His chance creation numbers are unreal. Him and Rashy have always had a good understanding. I can see lots of Bruno to Rash in the upcoming period. (cont)
Ole will play 3 atb vs city and one of Cavani/Rash will play with Ronaldo. After that I can see us maybe moving to 4 atb. No idea how long this formation or Ole stay being the obvious caveat. Irrespective I know Rash is ahead of Sancho and Greenwood in the..(Cont)
..pecking order. That LF position is going to be his whether in a 3 atb or 2atb imo. Obviously get him after a while once you're surer but seeing him just makes me want to tell you look closer at him than you have previously. Even against Liv, we were shit defensively but (cont)
we still created a good amount of chances. I'm convinced he's going to offer value at his price. I think he will be first choice. A fit Rashy is too good to be sitting on the bench.
Just look at him ok?

Hello. Welcome to the thread. There's a lot of conversation around "protecting rank" especially for those that are highly ranked. If that is for you, fair enough, but I insist you read on and i'm hoping to talk to your inner rebel (cont)
In my opinion, every year that we continue playing this game, it gets more and more difficult to reach the upper echelons. My school of thought whenever I've entered the top 10k with a few Gameweeks to go has always been - "Fuck. I am not getting this chance in FPL again". (cont)
You lot were with me on the ride last season. I was 1k with 8 Gameweeks to go. The same thought came to me again. I wasn't going to get this opportunity ever again. I didn't say, fuck, rank protection yada yada (not wrong but i'm trying to inspire here so bear with me) (cont)
Just trying to think off the top of my head of the errors I've made this season and want to just document them somewhere.. First up was going without Salah in Gameweek 1. It was Salah against a newly promoted team when everyone was going to cap him. Too big a risk early..(cont)
...doors. What sucked me in was a draft I made without Mo and that enabled me to get 2 more 8.5-9M ish players with a high perceived upside. Both of them were gambles (Kai + Dele) and the wish to start off on fire was bait I took and fell into a trap. Speaking of which that(cont)
is definitely a big error. There was too much trust in unproven assets early doors and need to take a leaf out of @FPL_Salah's book and turn down the volume with regards to unproven assets and unnecessary risks early doors. Also i'll admit that when the template is so..(cont)
Just a ramble of thoughts that I have with the upcoming DGW. I'll keep it brief and to the point.
1) Antonio. He's still building fitness and the games are two days apart. Fixtures are good yes but know that its a punt. I agree that the options in that price...
...are limited but wanted to re-iterate that the games are two days apart.
2) High upside punts outside of the usual suspects? Mane, Timo, Vardy and Sterling. When it comes to Liverpool and Chelsea, I think the impact of the longer break is going to make a difference. Lamps..
..mentioned how important it was to get some time on the training pitch in his presser. Remember that when Chelsea had the full backs and Ziyech fit, they were a different beast. Fixtures after 19 nice too. Vardy faces Leeds in two games after the Double and you know..
A few people have been asking me to do a thread on my thinking behind captaincy so here goes. There isn't an exact science or theory behind it because i'm very instinctive (and lucky) but i fancy a ramble because i already miss writing. Read on
I got a total of 573 captaincy points and this is my breakdown of hauls in points:
0-9 pts: 14 GWS (Random 5, City 5, Salah 3, Martial 1)
10-19 pts: 11 GWS (Random 4, City 4, Salah 3)
20+ pts: 13 GWS (Salah 4, City 6, Martial 3)
I have never captained KdB.
What i learnt from the tweet above is primarily i love captaining city players (highest scoring team in the league) despite the rotation risk associated with them because when it comes through, i even hit 30+ hauls quite often. Do i deserve that luck? I did get 5 dud hauls and..
- I can't recommend this game enough. This game is based on a simulation in Championship Manager 01/02. You don't need to play or have played Championship Manager to do well in the game. I've never played Championship Manager
(1/22)
- The teams in 01/02 are great. You'll get to pick players like Ruud, Henry, Euell, Rebrov, Shearer, etc.
- The rules are standard FPL rules with chips etc. The only big exception is that there are no price changes.
- The Gameweeks are on Wednesday and Saturday every week
(2/22)
- There is a live twitter commentary for the Gameweek on the @FantasyChampMan account. These guys love to tease and sometimes get a little sadist. Which i love.
- James from @PlanetFPLPod (assisted by @FplKaptain ) do a live Stream during the Matchdays which is..
