The Metaverse: the biggest transfer of wealth in history!
10 thoughts to help you make Metaverse money.
// THREAD //
Let's make sure we're not being emotional or nostalgic when we analyze these things.
Am I personally excited to see this virtual future? Yes.
Does that automatically mean it's the superior outcome for humanity?
Absolutely not.
1. Just look at how life has transferred from offline to online within the past 15 years.
Shopping, media, community, 'playing', learning, business, etc.
This trend has only really started and will continue 'til practically 100% of our lives take place in that virtual world.
2. Everything will be virtual. Let that sink in.
Earn income in the metaverse.
Grab coffee with friends in the metaverse.
Conduct business meetings in the metaverse.
Private companies will try to monetize you.
Governments will try to tax you.
3. Facebook's Metaverse is poison.
The centralized web 2.0 companies like Facebook will do whatever they can to position themselves as the primary space for work, entertainment, and social life.
Great! It'll bring a ton of awareness.
Also: terrible.
Why?
4. Look at Facebook's track record.
They will not care about your privacy.
The government will use and abuse its power to track your activities within the metaverse.
Facebook will always provide them with your data in order to tax you, check you, and limit you.
I understand Zuck is telling us he's going to completely decentralize the company, but until proven otherwise:
I do not trust that man at all.
5. We'll be having our business meetings online, we'll be traveling online, we'll be hanging out with friends online.
If you decide to do commercial activities in Facebook's Metaverse, you will be getting taxed.
They WILL come after your $$.
6. The government will go from useless to destructive.
When nearly all money is generated in a borderless virtual world, your local government will not have any jurisdiction to tax.
This will make governments dangerous in this transitionary phase.
Here's how to prep yourself:
7. Support decentralized Metaverses instead
Look, you're going to pay taxes on your commercial activities.
But you will be paying taxes to the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) that runs the decentral metaverse you CHOSE to do business in.
You could even be part of that DAO and use your voting power within the organization to ensure the DAO funds are allocated to things you deem worthy.
No more funding wars, expanding government, and other BS that define our 'traditional' offline governments.
8. Understand what's needed to make this a reality:
- A Non-USD backed stablecoin: $UST
- A Store of value: $BTC
- A Layer 1 chain: $SOL, $MATIC, $ETH, etc.
- Decentralized computing: $AR, $FIL, $AKT, $RNDR.
- Etc.
Why is the decentralized factor important?
Because the government could just visit a centralized web 2.0 company's HQ and force them to cease and desist.
This would kill off all projects built on that company's framework.
This is literally IMPOSSIBLE using decentral tech.
9. Invest based on your thesis.
Now that you know where our future is going, you can set yourself up to win BIG by investing in projects that are contributing to the metaverse TODAY.
Just ask yourself if the project you like solves a problem that supports your thesis.
Let it be clear: NFA!
I'm not/never telling you to buy coins when I publish these tweets. At the time of writing most Metaverse coins are WAY too heated.
Wait for the next market correction, and then see if there are any good deals.
10. Never invest more than you can afford to lose
No matter what, things can still get ugly.
If you aren't willing to see your portfolio drop an insane amount through the bear market, then maybe this space isn't for you.
Just know that the digital future is inevitable. No matter how much we want to romanticize the past/present.
I'd rather you be a realist that makes generational wealth, than a romantic whose love for 'the good old days' keeps him stuck in the old financial system.
- Get ready to do work a virtual job
- Embrace change if you want to cash in
- Why Fbook/Governments are the enemy
- Follow your thesis when spending money
Again: by no means financial advice.
I'm just a guy on the internet, after all.
Do your own research.
Do not trust your banks/governments.
Do not spend money on random dumb shit coins.
I will be launching a PRIVATE community next week to help newcomers navigate the space.
Please DM me if you're interested in leveling up and setting yourself up to win BIG.
No shitcoins, no instant gratification stuff, only motivated people that want to learn.
