Dystopian idea, & it will not happen. If he thinks that the entire world will happily substitute the foods they have always cherished & thrived on since the beginning of humanity for his company's drab assortment of protein-isolate imitations, his hubris is in for a big surprise.
No matter how much support he's getting from friends in high places...
With Christiana "stigmatize-meat-eaters-like-smokers" Figueres on Impossible's Board of Directors they have access to the spheres of WRI, WEF, UNFCCC, ...
But even if they manage to squeeze their totalitarian ideas into the most impressive private-public partnerships out there, incl. those that have "a plan for the planet", the people will never follow.
But make no mistake - there will be efforts to turn this shift away from animal-source foods into policy. Already happening: mayors of global cities committing to a dietary plan that has an "ambitious target" of bringing meat and dairy down to *zero* kg/p/y.
Example of Milan, supported by the Davos technocrats.
Example of London
Australia is supposed to move soon, so are Colombia, Indonesia, Ethiopia, the Nordic countries and Europe.

#PlanetaryHealth & #GreatTransition are as much of a warning sign as #BuildBackBetter or #GreatReset. If someone uses these words, be *very* suspicious. It's not just empty rhetoric, it's much worse.

The 'São Paulo Declaration on Planetary Health', referred to in the article above was published in the #Lancet & supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). thelancet.com/journals/lance…
*Sounds* legit, but: the entire thing is organized by the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA), co-housed by Harvard’s TH Chan School of Public Health, the academic home of Walter Willett (the main designer of the Planetary Health Diet, a quasi-vegetarian diet) planetaryhealthalliance.org/mission-vision

Leading Dutch agri-food university @WUR instrumentalized by Davos, in an effort supported by @wef-revering Prime Minister @markrutte? This spells trouble for the future of food and farming.

1/ It hasn't been clear where the UN #FoodSystems Summit is getting its budget from. Using official docs, @larsms has shown that Norway is helping them out:

Question is: Why #Norway & does all this have to do with the #Davos crowd again? Thread 👇🧵
2/ Let's start with a reminder of this infamous deal between the @WEF and the @UN, dating from 2019, before the Summit. weforum.org/press/2019/06/…
3/ The person standing on the left in the previous picture, next to Schwab, is Børge Brende, President of the WEF. A #Norwegian ex-minister.

#India isn't the #vegetarian model some claim it to be. Watch this excellent summary by @sakie339 to understand why:

Staggering statistics of malnourishment in children & women, reinforced by an aggressive criminalization of valuable foods by ideologists.
"Nutritional indicators/social security schemes were a cause for concern even before the pandemic, which the pandemic has aggravated. With the large number of Covid cases in India, we need to ask if a better nourished population would have handled the pandemic better"
