Manua is a director and actor based in France, working mainly with the drama company Golden Bastards. Before I became involved in theatre, I studied biology at Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse. I also worked at COP21 as team leader for the United Nations in press conferences. 
In 2019, I worked with Association Ishpingo in Ecuador on a reforestation project. During the past four years, I have been an activist with Extinction Rebellion and Alternatiba group, and I am now trying to create a bridge between performance art and ecological activism.
Why I’m acting: I wanted to join Scientist Rebellion for this action because I am gravely concerned about biodiversity breakdown. In fifty years, 68% of wild vertebrate animals have died out. I can’t sit on my hands and do nothing.
We have to act now to respect all living beings and try to make new connections with them: an equal share of life based on an interdependencies politic as presented by Baptiste Morizot in Manières d’être vivant. An endless beautiful cohabitation with otherness.
