SC: We will need another day since we are considering either Rakesh Jain or some other Judge. We need to talk to the judge we will appoint

CJI: you have to upgrade the task force, they have to be higher Officers

Justice Kant: In the task force most Officers are from Lakhimpur only.

CJI: why don’t you give names of your officers here to the bench

Justice Kant: you can submit PS cadre names from UP but they dont hail from UP.

CJI: submit the names by tomorrow evening so we can incorporate in our order which will deliver day after

Advocate Harsh: whoever is appointed they should not supervise since supervision cannot be done, monitoring can be done, and this is the law here

CJI: we have that much knowledge, at least little knowledge that in Criminal law too #LakhimpurKheriviolence

Haryana AAG Sr Adv Arun Bhardwaj: a former Judge of Supreme Court may be appointed

CJI: we can consider it. we will have to see which Judge will accept the assignment #LakhimpurKheriviolence

CJI: we passed order in Pegasus you seen how carefully we entrusted job to retired Judge we made it clear that only supervision will be done.

A lawyer for the petitioner: the person who filed a letter plea has stated that Umesh Chandra Agrawala SIT Chief has been transferred without leave of this court
