The Gov requested that jurors be available over the holiday break.

That means that the Gov was making sure that all eventualities were covered. That jurors were chosen who could be there as long as needed. For testimony and a long deliberation if needed.

As for if evidence will be destroyed as many have said, images, then for the sake and safety of survivors I hope they get to light the match.
Imagine worrying every day that naked and abusive images may be leaked on the net. Of them as children.

Images would have been meticulously curated. The image would have been described in detail, tests run on meta data to ascertain it's providence (phone, camera, computer), geo-location, if it had been manipulated. This could still be used in any future investigations.
But destroying the image itself could give survivors a sense of safety.
As we have heard repeatedly, survivors despite having anonymity orders in place, have been named.
We should not continue to traumatise them. Give them the match to destroy the images if they so choose.
