Thank-you for your concern. That was not the point of my tweet. Our profession is continually being degraded by this govt. The latest being the statements that the “ATA cannot be trusted”. My point was we are not villains. #abed #ableg #IStandWithABTeachers

We are people dedicated to our profession and it would sure be great if we had an education minister who supported us rather than continually knocking us down. My son is fine. My pocketbook is fine and I have 5 kids in my grade 7 class who will be reading for weeks… #abed #ableg

…because I purchased those 16 second hand books for them. That is the point. Teachers need support. We need to feel our ruling powers are on our side. From the pension takeover, to the horrific draft curriculum, to grant funding being eliminated, #ableg #abed

…to next to no additional funding to deal with the pandemic, to the govt musing about us taking rollbacks when most of us we have had only a 1-2% increase in the last 10 years, to this most recent attack on the ATA…it’s just another kick in the shins. #abed #ableg

That was the point. We need her support, not the constant slamming from @AdrianaLaGrange and @jkenney
