In the 18 rounds since they were launched in Dec 2018, the total sum of money that passed to Political parties from donors via #ElectoralBonds was:
INR 79,94, 97,75,000. i.e just shy of 8,000 Crores.
Conveniently, the reply stated: Party-wise data "is not collated centrally"

Disingenuously, the reply also repeated the lie that #ElectoralBonds were "an unprecedented step towards cleansing the process of funding of political parties.. a major improvement over conventional
practice of funding the political system through donations in cash"

The key question is neither yopu nor I know which big corporate donor gave how much money to which political party in retuyrn for what favour. You'd be a fool to think that a big business house a) gave crores of rupees to an opposition Party secretly to fund democracy; OR
b) gave Crores of Rupees to the Ruling Party without demanding something back in return - a juicy contract on preferential terms, a nod to the Courts or the Police to make a crime go away, whatever.
8,000 Crores - 1.06 Billion dollars - that is how much money has passed from Businesses to political Parties - the vast bulk of it almost certainly to the Ruling Party between 2019 and Nov 2021. It's all happening in broad daylight, through #StateBakofIndia.
The Donor know who he handed the bond over to. The Party bosses know who has funded them and to what extent. The Party managers know what favours to grant top keep the money flowing. Just you and I have no clue about which businessman is benefiting at opur expense.
It's all here tucked away in a Parliamentary answer to give an impression of transparency but beneath the veneer is 8,000 crores of Corruption secretly eating away at India's governance.
