How are you madam president?

These are my season's Greetings to you and yours as well. May 2022 be better for all of us. 2022 the year in which we need to refine ourselves, because it’s another year of struggle for existence. Let's talk now!

Madam President, today I come to you with great humility, but not diffidence, as an ordinary citizen of this beloved land. I will try to use my very vertical percipience, prudence and sagacity to try speak out, and I hope you will hand-pick these writings in a very positive way.

President Samia, you became an instant star and for a time, the hashtag with your names toured and trended on Twitter (mostly) and other social media platforms. Why?You appeared to offer new hope to this country after the quietus of the late John Pombe Magufuli. What happened?

You’ve had several option on paper, of fostering an inclusive Tanzania by opening its civic space to future leaders or a closed Tanzania, which remains willfully ignorant to new ideas. Since the takeover, U could choose to lead this country down a new path, you opted the opposite

During the six-year tenure of President John Pombe Magufuli, the country has moved toward full-on authoritarianism. That’s not a debate. We hoped for the best after his demise, but Madam president you offered (us) the opposite. regime have ruthlessly clamped down democracy.

Your regime has sought to muzzle independent voices, particularly those of the political opposition, but also members of civil society, the business community, and organized religion. Now it’s even a crime to give out the testimony of what happened yesterday.

Almost invariably, critics of the Magufuli regime charged with non-bailable economic offenses, such as money laundering, tax evasion or corruption. And yet Madam President you did exactly the same thing to your opponents. Freeman Mbowe is the illustration study to this matter.

Freeman Mbowe, terrorism-related crimes, is indeed a hallmark of modern dictatorships; We’ve it enough already, there’s no valid criminal case. You really must argue the DPP to drop charges against FREEMAN Mbowe if you want to heal the Magufuli tenure turbulence & pandemonium.

“The court recommends that all offenses be granted bail, & that the court be given the right to administer bail, the law shouldn’t close bail, then we will reduce overcrowding in prisons,” said the Chief Justice, Prof. Ibrahim Juma. Take these words into account Madam President

During Jo Pombe six-year reign, TZ was transformed from a country where free speech was tolerated, to one where even mentioning Jo Pombe’s name without putting a positive spin on it could vex the suspicion of the supremacy. We’re now experiencing the same ride with you, Samia.

Tanzania’s founding President Julius Nyerere conceived of African liberation as the building of inclusive democracy, a free press, tolerance of criticism, respect for minorities, and limits on power. But Madam President, together with your party, you’re doing the opposite. Why?

John Magufuli during his reign and the ruling CCM’s increased reliance on authoritarian tactics mark a sharp drop in legitimacy from Tanzania’s once proud democratic norms. And now, the well known as good-hearted, Samia Suluhu is doing the same as the late John Pombe. It’s scary.

Magufuli banned rallies, suppress the press, cowed & co-opted independent institutions, & committed overt and covert violence against political opponents and ‘dissenters’ within the ruling party (CCM) and the opposition forbye. We also see this happening now with you

Ironically, many restrictions have been tightened in 2020 under the guise of combating the spread of COVID-19 even though Magufuli has declared Tanzania coronavirus-free. And now you as the president you’re banning political rallies with the excuse of ameliorating economic growth

These past 3 months has been a tough one for you madam president: The EU parliament warned that it was launching a comprehensive review of its policies towards Tanzania but would resume a dialogue with the country's authorities & the EU parliament demanded what was on the MENU

Effort to restyle institutions to ensure impunity has extended to the judiciary, which has been incapacitated through state appointments that have been exerted without independent parliamentary vetting. Courts have sided with the state on every major issue under contention. BAD

Shutting down critical media outlets to silencing strong opposition voices. And deeming any voice of disapproval a product of Western propaganda. won’t help you anyhow. Winter is coming. You really must a take a steady path — but not of the term benevolent dictator.

Whichever position U take, one thing is incontrovertible: No country thrives in the long-term under just one leader. viability development only occurs when leaders invest in human capital & protect freedom of speech. What’s happening now is a total copycat from Magufuli tenure

While Magufuli is still beloved by many on these streets by his fictitious propaganda, others loath him for putting his critics behind bars. Several journalists and opposition politicians were shot in broad daylight during his tenure as president. Don’t take that path. Never!

Investigations into these killings were neither carried out nor condemned anyhow. Like many autocratic rulers before him, Magufuli peddled the illusion of development & progress that could easily disappear once he’s gone. That’s the really definition of a benevolent dictator.

There’s a raw spat between U & Magufuli pioneers. Job is one amongst the many into your party (CCM) and the government who doesn’t believe into your capacity of leading a country. They’re under your sleeves, showing no mercy. The only way to win this, U must side with the people.

Constitution handed U the baton. And of course, there some hooligans who can advise U erroneously. Madam President, Don’t listen to what those hooligans are telling U. They want U to do some wrong moves so that they will get something on paper to push their agenda. Stay alerted!

We all know the current uneven political playing field and biased institutional environment, any CCM victory in the elections will be seen by many as lacking legitimacy. For that cause, you don’t see the need to have a valid discussion of new constitution (KATIBA MPYA?)

In the meantime, Tanzanians can still draw on their longstanding norms as a source of resilience in navigating the way forward. Many recall the role of you, Madam president to take this call as a YES, so that we can start a new journey that will leave your legacy, forever!

If needed reforms remain ignored, and if patriotic, independent voices like FREEMAN Mbowe remain captive, the hopes of anything resembling a ‘new hope for the country’ will remain an illusion. And the only rectification is to account in the new constitution deal. That’s my stake!

With our so-called unity and solidarity, We will be working in vain if we do not have the PEACE that is brought by people having FREEDOM, freedom of expression is a must, even though it has its limits. It should be protected big time. People should be free within FREEDOM itself.

Madam President, let these people give you a compliment you deserve, allow them to praise you and sing those songs you like the most, they will applause you with some harps, harps and chants, but never stop them from criticizing you and your leadership. Patience is measured here!
