Translation of Dr. Moore's press briefing today for people in #Ontario - for those that missed it:

1) We have been FALSELY inflating hospitalization numbers for the past 20 months by combining numbers for those admitted "because of COVID-19" with...

...the numbers for those admitted "who just happen to have a positive test result".

2) Now that most of the hospitalized "cases" are FULLY-vaccinated, we need stop doing that.

3) Moving forward, we will only report those admitted "because of COVID-19" - which is thankfully the smaller of the two numbers.

4) This will make it look like hospitalizations & ICU admissions of "cases" are going down - when in fact, they are going up.

5) We have known that we have been over-reporting the hospitalizations for 20 months, by combing the 2 numbers - but we are not going to fix the data or graphs for past data (even though we have that data), because...

a) It won't make it look like hospitalizations & ICU admissions are improving due to vaccinations, and...

b) it will expose the fact that we forced restrictions on you when the situation was NOT as bad as we FRAUDULENTLY stated that it was!

6/...

6) We will likely only start reporting FULLY-vaccinated case numbers ONLY IF they have symptoms - because we need to make those numbers look better too!

7/...

7) If FULLY-Vaccinated "cases" start dying - well then we will have to start only reporting the numbers if they died clearly "because of COVID-19".

8/...

8 ) Don't expect us to fix the past data for "cases", "death", etc. - if we need to change how we report things moving forward. We need to make things look like they are improving with increased vaccinations - NOT getting worse (like they actually are).

We prefer not to consider this a #swindle - so please don't call it that!
