Without Hamdok the military is back at zero. They needed him in order to get the international community to release aid. Without him they're left with two options: retain full power under international isolation, or try to reach a new deal with the Forces for Freedom and Change.
Protests will continue, sanctions will remain, stability in Darfur is deteriorating by the day. The current situation is untenable for the Sudanese military.
How history will judge Hamdok is too early to tell. Some see him as a collaborator who gave in to the military by giving them a civilian face, others say he is a honest man who tried to do the right thing, but ended up in a situation outside of his control.

So a Belarusian journalist who was travelling between two #EU πͺπΊ destinations is now back in #Belarus against his own will after KGB operatives basically hijacked the plane and forced it to land.
This is not just a grave violation of human rights, it is also an act of aggression against the European Union. They hijacked a plane full of EU citizens and forced it to land in another country, against the will of everyone on board
All of this was planned in advance. KGB operatives knew Roman Protasevich was going to be on a flight that would go through Belarusian airspace. they've probably waited months for this opportunity
Its a bloodbath in #Myanmar π²π² today as dozens of protesters have been killed by the #Tatmadaw. According to one media source the death toll stands around 91.
Last night state-TV was broadcasting warnings to the protesters, telling them they'd be shot in the head and back.
