Supreme Court is hearing petition challenging notice issued by Tripura Police to Twitter for nactivist-journalist Samiullah Shabbir Khan tweets about #TripuraViolence. The notice asked Twitter to remove Tweet & sought details of IP address @Twitter

Adv Shahrukh Alam: I was asked to be present today. The earlier was not served upon us.

SC: We had stayed coercive steps for 2 weeks

SC: we can continue the same order

State of Tripura: please hold this over for two weeks

Justice Surya Kant: what do you mean hold over when we are issuing notice today

Tripura counsel: I mean adjourn

SC: Since the petitioner has been protected under January 10, 2022 order, no further steps be taken against him under Section 41A notice issued to him under the name of his mother

Alam: We will be scrambling to mention all matters before you since such notices have been issued to other Petitioners in the case today. Kindly grant us protection

SC: Please ask them to file a petition before us and then we hear it after two weeks.

Alam: meanwhile the process becomes a punishment

SC to Tripura Counsel: Please ask your officers to not harass the petitioners like this. Everyone cannot come to Supreme Court

Justice Kant: isn't this very innocous that you say you don't have instructions now

DYC J: when we have passed an order, how dare you not implement it. We will ask your home secretary and other officers to be present on the screen next time. At least show deference to our order when we have handled an issue @BjpBiplab

SG Tushar Mehta intervenes: I assure this bench that the order of this court will be respected with utmost sanctity

Justice Chandrachud: Then it's fine
