#SupremeCourt to hear plea by NEET PG 2022 Aspirants move seeking an extension of the May 31,2022, deadline to complete internship since they were in #COVID duties in 2021 & thus their internship has been delayed which is a crucial factor to appear for #NEETPG2022 exam
Centre had earlier decided to postpone the scheduled #NEETPG2022 by four to six weeks. However petitioners argued that the application deadlines too need to be extended #SupremeCourt@advocate_tanvi
Rohatgi: it is a eligibility criteria of one year internship or about to complete it by May 31
SC: So you are saying you were assigned COVID duties last year
Rohatgi: different institutes in different states are prescribing different dates to commence internship.
Rohatgi: The cut off date must be extended by 3 months. The last date when they started was in Sept, 2021
SC: but entering this will become entering a policy domain
Rohatgi: March exam has been extended to May and so the internship deadline can also be extended
SC: We can record the statement based on hardship and you make representation to Centre and ask Centre to consider this prayer a little sympathetically
Rohatgi: Please note that original date of exam has been rescheduled to May 21, 2022 from March.
Rohatgi: Please record this extension already given by centre in account of hardships and thus internship deadline should also be extended. There has been no uniform date of commencement of internship across the states
Rohatgi: Please keep this matter pending and it's very difficult to get plea listed
SC: We will dispose it off since hearings format is changing from February 18 onwards
SC: Clause 4.1 of eligibility criteria for MD, MS or PG Diploma program has been set out in info bulletin for NEET PG 2022. Petitioners are doctors and want to appear for NEET PG Exam. They are aggrieved by cut off date of May. 31, 2022.
SC: Petitioners state they joined COVID duties due to which Internship date got postponed and different states have different states to begin the internship.
SC: One of the grounds why this plea under Art 32 was moved because there was a clash of Neet pg 2021 counselling and 2022 exam and this has been resolved due to exams being postponed. Since issues raised will involve determination of facts and entering policy domain.
SC: Ends of justice will be met by making a representation to health ministry showing the hardship being faced by students. We request representation be considered expeditiously from one week upon recieving it.
SC: No opinions expressed in merits of the case. We dispose off the plea in above terms. Interventions allowed and liberty to them to make representation before the centre and IAs too stand disposed off.
Justice Kaul: so many courts have already noted that Forensic labs are lacking in numbers. You are a premier investigative agency and this is the condition.
Justice Kaul to ASG SV Raju: Also i dont want to recieve whatsapp messages concerning the case. Some one sneaks into my groups and leaves messages. We don't want to get into all of this.
Raju: I am a also a victim of this. Even I recieve such messages

#SupremeCourt is hearing a plea regarding a challenge to the upper-age limit for the NEET exam. The plea challenges the upper-age limit of 25 years for general category and 30 years for the SC/ST category candidates appearing in #NEET
Adv Gaurav Sharma appears for the respondent: the requirement if two year continuous study of 11th and 12th was always there
Sharma: The affidavits filed by the petitioners clearly show that they were aware of 11th and 12th class. In the present case students passed 12th but did not clear 11th
