precip,
ASI (the soil moisture that must be 'filled' to activate runoff generation from the soil column), &
groundwater deficit (the height the groundwater table must be raised to activate tile drainage of groundwater).
For systems we engineered, tile drained hillslopes are way more complex that we expected.
Which water comes out of tile drains? A mix of event water (macropore flow), pre-event soil water (displaced by event water), and groundwater (activates as regional water table rises).

Step 2: Finish the sign-in process. Here you can see a screenshot of what my .@iu.edu authenticaon looks like. Your might just be a google log-in or maybe your institution has a custom interface like this. Doesn't matter. Just get signed in.

What are we learning so far?
1 - Professors are trying. Even if it hasn't been perfect, the effort is noticed and appreciated.
2 - Synchronous meetings are helpful. 100% asynchronous is lonely and doesn't help students isolate key points from 'noise'
