It's a stunning statistic, one that perhaps more than any other helps explains why GOP has descended into MAGA. It no longer understands, can manage a changing world. 3/

Story of Dem success, GOP failure has shown up in our elections too.

Since the Cold War ended, Democrats have won more votes in 7 of 8 Presidential elections, the best popular vote run by a political party in US history.

GOP only gotten to 48% plus once since the 1980s. 4/

And perhaps greatest sign of Dem governing success is that those Americans who came of age after 1989, those in their late 40s and younger, are now overwhelmingly Democrats.

It is a judgement based on their lived experience. 5/
