The world watches with concern as the authoritarian govt of #JustinTrudeau clamps down on dissent and curtails civil liberties. Peaceful protest is the right of citizens in a democracy. We urge the Canadian authorities to exercise restraint.

The problem is not just the hypocrisy of the White West. It is of their collaborators in post-colonial societies who parrot and amplify the ideas of their supremacy.

Compare the language and spin the @nytimes uses for protests in Canada vs what it does for protests in India.

Imagine doing this to peaceful protestors including blocking them raising money as they risk their jobs by calling it "terrorist funding." These are terrorists?

Tattered integrity? Was always a myth @KanchanGupta da. It was part of image creation in a narrative war.

What integrity? That genocided natives, used McCarthyism political opponents, deposed democratic govts, installed favorite dictators, manipulated?

While Canada has declared crowd-funding of protestors a "terrorist act" the @nytimes celebrated foreign funding for the shutdown in India.

This is the same guy who had no qualms interfering in India's protests or backing foreign funding for them.

Speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

1. Hijab is to distinguish free Muslim women from slave women. Slave women were prohibited from wearing the hijab.

2. The treatment of "minorities" as dhimmis under Islam was a form of untouchability. Later yellow badges were used to identify them, copied by Hitler for Jews.
Hijab is entirely about "ownership" of women and sexual control. That today's "feminists" have legitimized this shows how badly they have been compromised by parroting Islamist propaganda. Arab feminists of a generation ago, lke Naẓīra Zayn Al-dīn (1908–1976) did much better.
Control of women is central to Islam. As women's rights spread, Islamists in the Middle East were terrified of these spreading to Arab lands. Huge amounts of funds were channelled into Western academia to parrot the Islamist narrative. Islamophobia was marketed as a term. Ergo.

The relation of Indian "seculars" and Left to Islamists mirrors the relation of what Malcom X described as "house Negros" to White Masters.

Never mind that the burqazisation of Indian Muslims is a recent phenomenon. Even these girls went to school without hijabs. The entire drama is a staged political drama. Naturally @sharmasupriya the Scroll etc, just follow script to amplify the drama.

Why are you questioning "progress"? This is the modern ideal. If a mother raises her child, it is regressive. If she pays someone else to do so while she "works" it's progressive.

3rd parties raising children adds to GDP. Motherhood doesn't. And it's all about that, no?
I'm not shaming working or non-working mothers. I'm questioning a system that holds one superior to the other and discounts the role of motherhood in society. "Child care" alone won't solve it. This is as much an artifact of nuclear families.

One system is termed “backward” and another “progressive.” Both have pros and cons.

Early marriage led to less MIL conflict. Also children raised by extended family in joint family settings.

Problem is state pushing society to conform to one model.

Minorities are in danger in @JustinTrudeau's Canada. But they'll be mum on this.

Meanwhile democracy is in danger as Canadian PM imposes authoritarian emergency measures on protestors.
Meanwhile Canada cracks down on protestors who were in a non-violent demonstration for their rights.

When India faced violent protests and blockades that shut highways and brought life to a standstill, Western govts sided with protestors, termed action to remove them as undemocratic.

But when it happens to them, they urge use of power to stop protest.

Her faith in colonialism seems very deep-rooted.

But @atticusfinch71 is probably ignorant of the enormous influence of Indian Science and Medicine on the West.

Indigenous knowledge is "saffron." To blindly imitate is "progressive." 😏
Her "faith" in dead White men blinds her to a nuanced understanding of her own culture.

Dvija is about being born in knowledge, from just a physical birth. Are they restricting the oath to certain "castes"? All can be dvija, not all can be White males.

"Hipprocates" is rooted in the Eurocentric reconstruction of their fabled past in Greece.

Does this "atheist" know that the Hippocratic oath starts with swearing on the Greek gods, and does the "feminist" know it prohibited abortion (and all surgery)?
