Kentucky SB83 passed committee favorably and will move onto the floor. This is an anti-trans sports bill that would require that school athletics be divided based on "biological sex". The bill does not define "biological sex" or state how it would be determined.
Kentucky HB23 had amendments filed. This is an anti-trans sports bill that would require school participation in athletics be divided based on "biological sex" as determined by an unchanged birth certificate or a medical examination.
South Carolina HB4608 added another sponsor. This is an anti-trans sports bill that would require school athletics to be divided based on "biological sex" as determined by original birth certificate. Without OBC, no other method for determining "biological sex" is provided.
Florida HB1557 has a hearing on 2/17 at 3 pm EST. This is the famous "don't say gay" bill that would prohibit classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary school.
