"The purpose of human rights is to protect human goods. The very suggestion that it could be good for mothers to set them against their own offspring is an insult to women and a setback to the cause of their dignity." #HumanRights#WomensRightsAreHumanRights
"Abortion cannot be a 'reproductive right', because it has nothing to do with enabling people to reproduce. It is not even merely an anti-reproductive right, because rather than just snuffing out fertility, it extinguishes a life." #reproductiverights#reproductivejustice
"Authorising the private use of lethal #violence against the weakest and most vulnerable does not advance the common good, but despoils and overturns it." and
"If innocent human beings lack even the right to live, then there are no human #rights at all."

A co-founder of NARAL who realized he had killed human beings in the womb and spent the rest of his life telling the world it's wrong to kill your own child.
It's a strawman argument to say #Prolife people don't care about people after they are born. Many of us in the US don't like how the gov spends money and prefer to donate and work more on a local level. Following is a long 🧵of some of what we do.

@prochoiceforal1 You seem to enjoy making up your own definitions for words. The agreed-upon dictionary definition for forced pregnancy is the one I gave. The agreed-upon dictionary definition of alive is the one I gave.
@prochoiceforal1 How can something "not alive" deliberately do anything? That requires knowingly and intentionally harming.
@prochoiceforal1 “I think we have deluded ourselves into believing that people don't know that abortion is killing. So any pretense that abortion is not killing is a signal of our ambivalence, a signal that we cannot say yes, it kills a fetus.” Faye Wattleton, Former #PlannedParenthood Director
@HumanDefenseINI To say, “You can’t be pro-life unless you’re willing to go out and adopt all the unwanted babies that will be born,” is absolutely ridiculous is like saying, “You can’t be against animal cruelty unless you go out and adopt all the puppies,”
The foster care system’s primary purpose is reunification; not adoption. Children are placed in the foster care system not, primarily, because they have no parents, but because they have had to be removed from the home for various reasons. These children are not up for adoption.
