And, TIKhistory is an exceptionally useful & relevant YT channel on Europe & RU. About half his videos are directly relevant to this war.

I was perplexed by Putin calling the Ukraine government Nazis and drug addicts. Putin's behavior is far closer to that of the actual Nazis than just about every world leader. (Assad springs to mind as a notable exception.) So he's projecting. Is he also projecting about drugs?

People who think a false claim of "drug addict" is a slur tend to be hypocritically against both licit and illicit drugs.

Among the radicalized far right (where Putin exists), there is a lot of anti-pharmaceutical rhetoric. Think Kirstie Alley and antidepressants like Prozac.

Those kind of people tend to oppose the use of medication for illnesses like depression. They're anti-science in general, like Bolsonaro in Brazil regarding Covid.

Of course, IDC what Putin uses or doesn't use. I care about democracy.
