I see some people mentioning thermobaric. This does not look like a thermobaric weapon to me and thermobaric weapons used by Russia are fired in volleys.

This rather compares to a Beirut blast-type explosion (which is not better). Lots of explosives detonated at once by an initial detonation.

I think it's clear from today's bombing of Kharkiv this morning and tonight that we've moved to a far more dangerous phase of the conflict.

Again those aren't meant to target specific military targets, but to "punish" the city and force its surrender.
