2/9 "Augmenting Quality Of Average Institutes" in India is paramount to making India the world's "academic capital". Not only does pedigree qualify us to stake a claim but also at stake is a USD $600 B domestic education market & USD $6 trillion global economic opportunity

3/9 Roughly 5 million students defined as #InternationallyMobileStudents study outside their home country each year of these 7 lakh are Indian students a third of whom go to the U.S. & rest to others & spend close to $13 billion under RBI’s liberalized remittance route

4/9 In return India gets 50K students most under bilateral grants. This "Balance-Of-Education-Index" needs correction. A mission mode to "net-exporter" of higher education by @EduMinOfIndia + stakeholders is possible. Perhaps a “#Saraswati2025” or “#Nalanda2025” @dpradhanbjp ?

5/9 Upping the “Quality Average” is the Achilles heel. While our top institutions match up to the best anywhere, we lose out on average. The sheer size of our ecosystem pulls it down. We must win this “battle of averages” to accommodate more.

7/9 Aggressively sell India as global education destination NOT JUST to the developing world but also to developed. After all Half a million of even theirs go out. Set up #GOI approved counselor centers in major global cities. This will inspire even ours to stay back.

8/9 Historical pedigree, stable socio-pol-eco environment, affordability, experience of classroom diversity & marquee global achievers like scientist, CEOs & entrepreneurs as brand ambassadors can be strong selling propositions.

9/9 After all if not #VISHWAGURU through education then through what?
