In this March 5 video (shared by "Ukraine 24" TV), the #Russian Navy pilot Major Alexei Golovetskiy confesses how he flew on his SU-30sm on a bombardment mission over #Mykolaiv area but was shot down by the #Ukraine missiles. [Translation below⬇️]
[2] Rus. pilot: “Today, on March 5, I took off [from Saki airfield in Crimea] and received coordinates where to fly. After I verified the coordinates several times, I realized that they are behind the border on the territory of #Ukraine. I flew there and began guarding.”
[3] Rus. pilot: “I guarded the area [over Mykolaiv province in southern Ukraine] and conducted reconnaissance. We didn’t find generally anything. There were no targets, I mean no target marks left on the ground.”
[4] Rus. pilot: “There were no radio-electronic interference against us. After I turned around to fly back to the airfield, suddenly our communications were jammed so we couldn’t talk to the command anymore. Then the missile hit us, and another one. We ejected.”
[5] “What weapons did you carry?” – “On our SU-30, we had 2 missiles R-77 [The Vympel R-77 missile is a Russian active radar homing beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile] and 3-4 bombs FAB-250.
[6] Rus. pilot: “We didn’t use our weapons. We didn’t have a flight mission. We were told simply to stay at the 6,000 m altitude and conduct reconnaissance. With me here Captain Alexey Kozlov.” The END.

[3-2] A Rus. soldier: “First, my Lt. [Ivan Alexandrovich Levankov] got a bullet in his helmet, [from the Rus. soldiers ordered by Lt.Col. to fire at their Lt. and Ukr. civilians] but it didn’t go through. The next bullet hit his neck and broke an artery, so he died.”
[3-3] A Rus. soldier: “Then they [his comrades] fired at a mother woman and she also got killed. Then me and her daughter began retreating, so my comrades began firing at my legs. If not a garage nearby, they could also murder me and that girl.”
PART 2. A #Rus soldier (almost killed by comrades) continues telling his story how his Lt. & he shielded & tried to save lives of #Ukrainian civilians in #Kharkiv despite the deputy commander of their regiment Lt.Col. ordered to kill civilians together with Lt. and him. [Thread]

In this SSU video, a #Russian soldier (almost killed by comrades) tells his story how his Lt. & he tried to save lives of #Ukrainian civilians in #Kharkiv despite the deputy commander of their regiment Lt.Col. ordered to kill them together with Lt. and him. [Video 1. Thread]
[2] Rus. soldier: “Our ‘Zampolit’ [dep. com-r of regiment] ordered to fire at those… to block the roads. – Wait! Where? – In #Kharkiv, the freeway around the city. – When? – On Feb 24. – What was your mission? – No mission. The ‘Zampolit’ of our regiment made up all our tasks.”
[3] Rus. soldier: “When we began to block the freeway [in Kharkiv on Feb 24], civilians started protesting saying they need to go home, to work, somewhere else. Soon, our regiment Lt.Col. ‘Zampolit’ got annoyed and ordered to open fire at civilians.”
Humor is a weapon. The #Ukrainian soldiers share anecdotes & funny sayings to keep up morale. For example, a Soviet propaganda saying "I'd learn Russian only bcs Lenin spoke it" had been transformed into "...because I need to interrogate Russian POWs." [Thread⬇️]
[2] "Look, Moscovites die here an hour earlier than they arrive. Arrived at noon, and killed at 11:40am. This is a direct time portal to hell".
[3] "If the Russians won't accomplish their goals while ground is frozen, that's it. The Ukrainian gardeners will absolutelly never allow them onto their vegetable fields."
CORRECTION - Earlier today, I tweeted unverified info about Denis Kireev who was killed by SBU as a Rus. spy. It's not true. That tweet deleted. Instead, the Intel. Dep. of Ukr. MoD confirmed that he was their serviceman and died with 2 comrades while on duty. [Thread⬇️]
[2] Together with Mr. Kireev, the Intel. Dept. of #Ukraine MoD confirmed death of Hero of Ukraine, Major Valeryi Chibineev, 34. Also, the Berdiansk city council FB-page said that he died defending the Gostomel airport near #Kyiv.
[3] The third comrade of Mr. Kireev, whose death had been also confirmed by the Intel. Dept. of Ukr. MoD, is a serviceman Olexiy Dolia.
