@NHS24's treatment of my mother in the past 48 hours has been nothing short of neglect.

Worried she has SEPSIS, the carer, myself and my parents called NHS24 AND 999.

At every turn, they've refused to even see her calling it "a care issue."

CONTINUED
2/ The care provider & socal work have been really helpful even escalating it through @NHSHighland.

Despite this, 2 Out of Hours GPs have said my mother being unable to walk, with a swollen, hot & very red knee, is "NOT a medical issue." She's crying in pain.

Called me liar too
3/ One of mum and dad's carers stayed till 2am this morning pleading for her to bd seen to no avail, getting told call the GP on Monday.

Note: Mum has been in the wheelchair since THURSDAY including sleeping.

Your GP was angry social wanted my admitted to hospital @NHS24.4
4/ I just got asked to take her 20 miles to the OOH Doctor, something I can't physically do as I can't lift my mum.

Now we have an 4+ hours wait for a begrudged Home Visit in which the Dr said will lead to them only then ordering an ambulance for admission, likely 1am-4am
5/ My mum may have a serious infection in her knee and @NHS HIGHLANDS Out of Hours GP have consistently called it "not an emergency", "a care issue" or "not something we deal with."

I am beyond angry at this point. It is so distressing and concerning how little care @NHS24 give.
Sorry for my rant, I've had 2 hours sleep in 48, spent hours in call queues being told possible sepsis is a care issue

To add insult to injury NHS 24 won't see my 4-year-old son whose skin is breaking open & bleeding

He's screaming getting cream on, "give Calpol was the advice"
I'm an seriously concerned by @NHSHighland's Out of Hours of Hours service in Ross Shire.

The central call centre says a GP must visit, only for the OOH nurse or doctor to phone & say no.

If SEPSIS can be called a "care issue", then anything can which is concerning.
Thank you for well wishes, appears someone high up in the NHS saw this and the doctor visit miraculously expedited itself.
Cancel that. They sent a nurse who now wants to leave my mother on the bed & have her take pain killers that effectively sedate her.

She doesn't have 24/7 care so wouldn't be able to toilet, knee is still red & swollen and she can't walk, my dad gets care.

I'm out of options

NEW - The Ukrainian Ambassador to the United Nations read out what he claims are the text messages between a Russian soldier and his mother shortly before killed.

Subititled

#UkraineRussia #RussiaUkraineWar
#UNGA
It is worth pointing out that there is no way anyone can verify this.

The information war right now is off the scale, which is to be expected.

Everyone has been caught out at least once, Snake Island, so while I report this, it's important I add a cavaet for balance & accuracy.
This isn't to say it's not true, but I think it's fair to say nobody can say it is either.

Experienced people are getting things wrong & will continue to. War is messy & unpredictable.

It's extremely important journalists & commentators correct themselves when wrong.

NEW - An oil depot in the city of Vasilkov near Kyiv has been hit by a Russian missile causing extensive damage.

2/ More footage showing the inferno at Vasilkov oil depot following a Russian attack this evening.

#UkraineRussiaWar #RussiaUkraineConflict
This is what the residents of Vasilkov can see. The fumes given off by that fire will be extremely toxic.

I'd you know anyone there or someone who can spread a message, tell them to shut all doors and windows or better still, if safe, get upwind of the fire.

Ukrainian President Zelensky has shown how effective digital media can be.

His continuous updates & pressuring of Western countries has resulted in results on his part.

Italy u-turned on SWIFT & countries are sending military aid.

Winning in the information domain is important
The Russians can't go anywhere without being caught on video & their failures exposed.

As urban warfare intensifies and casualties rise, Russians back home will start to turn in bigger numbers.

That is probably the biggest hope for Ukraine right now.
It is therefore vitally important we share Ukrainian's stories & expose Russian failures & any crimes.

The more we amplify these messages, the more pressure grows on Putin, Lukashenko & others too afraid to say stop.

Zelensky: "This night they will launch an assault.

The enemy will use all of their power on all fronts to break our defense.

This night we have to stand ground. The fate of Ukraine is being decided now."
