This made my day!! From my friend @dkvmhw (I stands for Dev as it is his narration)
" At Malwa Market Mhow last afternoon. He collected empty plastic bottles from the rubbish bin of a popular snacks shop and put them in a sack.
"You collect these plastic bottles?" I asked.
"Have to do it," he replied in a matter of fact manner.
I (my friend Dev that is) bought a packet of Marie biscuits for two well behaved strays, both sterilised, who were sitting not far from me.
But before I could feed them he started feeding them some biscuits he had just bought.
Apparently they were waiting for him. "So you feed these dogs," I said handing over my packet to him.
"Why shouldn't I?" he asked, "Don't they feel hungry too?"
Again I had no answer. He is certainly one of the richest persons I have met. "

This is the India where ordinary folks teach you extraordinary things. Image

Compiled this 🧵 to give a sense of context to many who were very young in early '90s.
Per some accounts the kidnapping of Rubaiya Sayeed, daughter of then HM - Mufti Sayeed, was a staged drama as the latter was a sympathizer of JKLF terrorists.
It was mid '80s and I was posted in Gujarat and as it so happened, 2 of my house mates were from J & K. They used to tell that the Kashmiri Muslims were always siding with Pakistan and used to despise KPs.

#UkraineRussia A note that came on WA: slightly edited for the sake of brevity.
---------
Most won't remember my (the original author's) comment on the change of Indian petroleum minister last year. Am also sure none of you understand why a career diplomat Hardeep Singh Puri..
was given the charge. The reason is changing balance of Oil and Gas in the 21st century.
What Russia is today, the middle east was 50 years back, and that the crux of Ukraine Russia crisis
99.99% of Social Media and Media intellectuals are looking at Military operations as an invasion by Russia to capture Ukraine or part of it which speaks Russian. Some even went to Akhand Russia but none is right

As usual, lot of misinformation is being spread by media and impacted persons - mostly students -about Indian Government and Indian Embassy in Kyiv not being proactive on advising Indians to move out of Ukraine - let me call out their duplicity and being economical with truth.
This is the 3rd advisory issued.

@annamalai_k the Man to follow in Tamil Nadu's Politics! Probably is a bit too early to call him the Yogi Adityanath of Tamilnadu! 😍 Honest and dedicated to serving the people.

(A note that I received on WA!)
Many times I feel that all state elections are different and have three components

●Fundamentals
●Perception
●Engineering

K. Annamalai, is truly a transformational leader who is focused on fundamentals. He is a Change Leader.
He doesn't shout Modi Modi all the time and ride on his back but creates new ground for the organization by tangible work

Sample changes in Tamil Nadu are visible. DMK lost deposits in 60 wards despite its 13 Party Grand Alliance.

An old post from FB by Dilip Menezes that shows what is actually true India. Do read:

While riding early morning from Narsipatnam to Lambasingi I stopped at a village for breakfast. There was a table set out outside a hut along the village road and an old man was making tea.
I asked for a cup of tea and something to eat. The old man pointed to the tea and then said something in his local language that I didn't understand. I made the sign for food and he turned to his wife who was standing close by.
She pointed me to a bench outside their hut, asked me to sit down and went inside the hut. After a few moments she emerged with a place of idlis and chutney which I enjoyed along with the tea.
After I was done I asked the old man how much I owed him and he said "5 rupees".

#mahabharata
When Bhagwan Krishna returned home after the battle of Mahabharata, his wife Rukmani confronted him “How could you be party to the killing of Guru Drona and Bheeshma, who were such righteous people and had a lifetime of righteousness behind them.”
Initially Bhagwan Krishna avoided her questions but when she did not relent, he replied “No doubt they had a lifetime of rightousness behind them but they both had committed one single sin that destroyed all their lifetime of righteousness”
Rukmani asked “And what was that sin?”
Then Krishna replied “They were both present in the court when a lady (Draupadi) was being disrobed and being elders they had the authority to stop it but they did not. This single crime is enough to destroy all righteousness of this world”
