Brian Kjellberg, a 50y/o white man, fatally stabbed AJ Stewart, a 27y/o Black man, with a homemade shank over a parking dispute in late 2021.

Cmty & Stewart's family say it was a racially-motivated attack & compared it to #AhmedArbury & #TrayvonMartin. They want tougher charges.

Kjellberg's been charged w/ second degree murder w/out intent & was bailed out of jail on a $500,000 bond on Dec 7.

His next court appearance is an Omnibus Hearing tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. He's defended by Earl Gray & is expected to plead not guilty.
In late December 2021, AJ Stewart’s family & community leaders held a press conference. The speakers demanded justice & pushed for the community to continue to call the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office & ask them for tougher charges against Brian Kjellberg. vimeo.com/684405614

The case against King has highlighted recurring themes of federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) irregularities and misconduct.

During the federal trial against political prisoner Eric King, there have been multiple disruptive incidents affecting him at the prison where he's being held. King, his legal team, and supporters are concerned that these are retaliatory actions by BOP. unicornriot.ninja/2022/bop-blame…
On Thursday morning, which was the fourth and final day of trial, the government and the defense brought to Judge Martinez’s attention (without the jury present) that King’s cell was flooded when he returned to it the previous evening.
Zachary Huffman, a BOP paralegal, told the court that King’s cell’s sink was on and there was some toilet paper in it, seemingly alleging that King left it on. The judge asked if anyone else could have done that, and Huffman said it could potentially have been prison staff.
