1/ THREAD: Body Language Analysis No. 4641: Tiger Woods re: "Do you think you can win the Masters this week?"
#BodyLanguage #BodyLanguageExpert #Tiger #TigerWoods #Masters
2/ Does Tiger Woods *really* think he can win this years Masters? His Body Language tells the truth.
3/ A split-second after the reporter says, "You've said countless times throughout your career that you don't enter a golf tournament unless you think that you can win," several nonverbal displays occur rapidly.
4/ Take time to toggle the time-cursor rapidly back-and-forth several times. This will cause these subtle dynamics to jump out — making the movement easier to see.
5/ Tiger closes his eyes for a long-duration blink (overlapping between the 0:04-0:05 mark, approximately 0.5 seconds duration).
6/ If you watch carefully, you'll see, superimposed upon his prolonged eyelid closure, 3-4 rapid small blinking movements — yet his eyelids remained closed the entire duration — a sort of quivering.
7/ His eyes never open during this ~0.5 second segment, but the rapid loosening and tightening of his eyelids superimposed upon the underlying prolonged closure is a second form of blinking.

These are two varieties of blinking — simultaneous and superimposed.
8/ This specific body language display is not rare, although this is a particularly clear example.
9/ Notice also that Tiger's head also nods rapidly up and down. This movement occurs in concert with and in identical frequency (rapidity) with the secondary eye blinking noted above (3-4 times).
10/ However, while rapid in frequency, Tiger's head nodding during this nodding is minuscule in amplitude.
11/ The dynamics of this movement cannot be captured with still images. Once again, moving the time-cursor rapidly back-and-forth will contrast in these subtle movements and make them bit easier to see.
12/ This micro-head nodding is indicative of low confidence. He's nodding up-and-down ('Yes') in the affirmative, but his head is barely moving.
13/ After Tiger opens his eyelids, he does nod his head up-and-down again, once — with a somewhat greater amplitude (although still only mild-moderately so).
14/ Now go back a bit and observe the subtle movement of Tigers's lips and jaws. At first his lips are relaxed and symmetrical.
15/ But during the latter part of his prolonged eyelid closure, Tiger lip's and jaw/mouth change:

• Lips tighten (become stretched and less full)
• Lips shift to his right (asymmetrical lips)
• Jaw protrudes forward and tightens
• Jaw shift to his right (asymmetrical mouth)
16/ Notice the skin on the front of his jaw, just below his lower lip, becomes tighter as well.
17/ This jaw and lip movement, while perhaps somewhat subtle to some, is quite telling (a microexpression/near microexpression). The jaw clenching and movement forward indicates increased adrenaline.
18/ The lateral jaw and lip movement indicate significant doubt and lower confidence. This mouth dynamic is also indicative of deception.
19/ Additionally, there are two hard-swallows: a smaller one during 0:05 and a second, more significant hard swallow during 0:07-0:08, as evidenced by hard swallows (up and down movement of Adam's apple [Thyroid cartilage]).
20/ Tiger's verbal response of "I do", rather than, "Yes" also is correlative with significantly lower confidence.
21/ Moreover, notice one more blink (this one a much more typical blink, although a bit prolonged), just as he says, "I" ("I do"). This blink, at this crucial time is consistent with deception and "I don't".
22/ SUMMARY: Tiger Woods body language (and paralanguage) significantly contradicts his verbal language in this video segment. Tiger Woods doubts he can win the Masters this year.

continued...
23/ SUMMARY:
continued ...

Tiger's confidence, while certainly not zero (he can play), is low. In his mind's eye, he's not seeing himself winning — which is essential for success in all sports, particularly golf.
24/ SUMMARY: conclusion

Adopting positive, winning #BodyLanguage, will program/reprogram the the mind to win. Positive Body Language literally helps the body both see and feel a win before it happens.

2/ Dmitry Peskov, Putin's spokesperson, lies multiple times during this short video (multiple additional lies are also exhibited during the complete interview). One particular segment and the accompanying lies are analyzed here — with emphasis on the nonverbal tells.
3/At 0:12 mark, Peskov, says, "Ahhh, now about two regions, Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. Ahhh, so, actually the troops were really withdrawn from that region [sic] as an act of a GOOD will — during the negotiations between two delegations — Russian and Ukrainian Delegation [sic]."

#BodyLanguage #BodyLanguageExpert #BuddyCarter #Marijuana
2/ Buddy Carter, Republican congressman from Georgia, is seen here testifying before congress regarding Marijuana on Friday 1 April 2022.
3/ Notice Carter is using his left hand to gesture in a classic, up-and-down hand-chop motion. This chopping #BodyLanguage dynamic alone (esp. when used defending a story, point-of-view, or action) suggests deception.
