One of the traditional ways the faithful have venerated the Virgin Mary, was with a family home or parish church Mary Garden.
Bluebells are Marian flowers.
Bluebells were originally called ‘Our Lady’s Thimbles’ to honor Mary’s motherly housework as she made the clothes Jesus wore.
The Snowdrop became a symbol of Mary's purity&is also known as Flower of Purification. In Italy and other countries in Europe the statue of Mary was removed from the altar on 2nd of February and Snowdrops were strewn in its place. #MonthOfMary#May2022#LoveBVM#AveMaria#OurLady
Violets are associated with Mary because they have long been a symbol of humility and simplicity. They have a modest way in which the flowers nestle among the leaves and grow low to the ground. It is said that the violet dropped its head in the shadow of the crucifix. #May2022 🌸
The Blessed Virgin Mary is known under one of her titles as“The Pure Lily Of The Trinity”,thus represented by the threefold petals of the flower. Fleur-de-lys signify perfection, light and life and is symbolic of Davidic descent. #May2022#MonthOfMary#MonthofMay#LoveBVM#OurLady
There is also a White Lily which only blooms during the time of the Assumption in mid-August and is known as the Assumption Lily among horticulturalists.
It was said that St Thomas, The Apostle have found beautiful Lilies and Roses where the body of The Blessed Virgin once laid.
You can give pansies as a get well gesture, or use them to ask for forgiveness. The best quality of pansies lies in their ability to instantly uplift the spirits of the receiver. Pansies are available in a beautiful array of colours, always projecting joy and positivity.

Also known as ‘Incense of the Virgin Mary’ and ‘Bleeding nun,’ Cyclamen flowers are used to decorate chapels and statues of Mary. One of the Arabic common names for cyclamen is Bakhur Miriam, or Mary’s incense. In the past Cyclamen incense was used in churches dedicated to Mary.
Marian Flowers and plants are not just beautiful but also have healing properties. For example, this specific herb -
Our Lady’s-mantle, was commonly used in folk medicine to heal inflammations in the mouth, bleeding of the nose, furuncules and gastrointestinal disorders.

Wild strawberries are depicted growing in the grass beneath
Mary’s feet and on her mantle. Another name for the strawberry is ‘Fruitful Virgin’because it has both flowers (white) and fruit on the plant at the same time, representing the twin attributes of purity and fruitfulness.
The honey-scented, golden-yellow flowers, and whorls of slender, dark green leaves, which have a pleasant smell when cut and dried, were used in Victorian times as a mattress-filler. Not only did they have a pleasant smell, but Our Lady’s Bedstraw also helped repel fleas.

Although I have mentioned Our Lady’s Shoes in a previous Tweet, I simply had to acknowledge the little flower again today on the Feast of The Visitation.
...and my next Tweet is the last to complete Mary’s Twitter Garden this May.
Thank you so much for joining me.💐

The Month of September is dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows
O afflicted Virgin,O soul great in virtues,as in sorrows, both the one&the other spring from that great fire burning in thy heart for God,the only love of thy heart!

1. Light’s glittering morn bedecks the sky,
Heav’n thunders forth its victor cry:
The glad earth shouts her triumph high,
And groaning hell makes wild reply.
The month of March is dedicated to Saint Joseph and this is the Year of St Joseph.
In response to The Holy Father’s request to increase our devotion to this great saint my little contribution will be to post a beautiful picture of Saint Joseph every day.
