A Pattern for Prayer || Effective Prayer || James 5:15 || Morning Devotional || July 3, 2021
Happy Saturday, my beloved family! In today’s devotional, we are encouraged to pray in faith for anyone who is sick among us. The word of God says that this specific prayer will bring healing to the sick & they will rise to new life. How amazing is that?? 🤯
We are also assured that if the sick person had committed any sins, that they would indeed be forgiven. As you enter your weekend, keep praying & keep trusting in God’s relentless love for us! 🙏🏾❤️

Light’s glittering morn bedecks the sky,
Heav’n thunders forth its victor cry:
The glad earth shouts her triumph high,
And groaning hell makes wild reply.

During #MorningPrayer today, it occurred to me that if you’ve never prayed the MP before you may not know what the service is like.

When I say, “I’m sitting down to pray,” here’s what my 20-30 minutes of prayer looks like.

First I light a candle. This helps me to feel like my space is now a space for prayer.

I open up my BCP to the #MorningPrayer service. Then I turn to pg.78 & choose an opening scripture under the “At any Time” (i.e. any liturgical season) and read it aloud. I usually make the sign of the cross at the start.

Today it was Psalm 43:3.
