Why do Indians resist paying taxes? - #Thread

Interesting thoughts on why Indian resist paying taxes, in an open letter to the Prime Minister.
Dear Modi ji,

This is what we honest citizens feel about our Governments - Central and State...

On behalf of professionals & businessmen, I am* sending you some facts ..

Please try to understand.

We are not doing Tax '"Chori"'... this is tax saving (a bit of evading too).
This is to ensure security of our family, kids and their future for any adversity.

1. We bought Generators/Inverter in our houses, because Govt. failed to provide constant electricity.

2. We installed submersible pumps, because Govt. failed to provide water.
3. We hired own security guards, because Govt. failed to provide security.

4. We send our kids to private schools, because Govt failed to provide good education in public schools.
5. We headed for private hospitals to avail proper care and treatment, because Govt. failed to provide good public hospitals.

6. We bought cars because Govt. failed to provide good transportation.
Finally.., what the tax payer gets in return at the retirement, when he needs most to survive ?

Nothing, no social security.
But instead all his hard earned income resource is used by Government to distribute subsidies and freebies in the name of welfare schemes among masses to buy "free votes" to those who don't pay any taxes.

Above all what Govt do with our (tax) money?
Open courts-which do not give judgement.

Open police station which works for politicians only and not protect citizens.

Open hospital which do not treat us well.

Build roads wherein 40-100% of money spent goes in vain due to corruption.
If Indian Government could provide all the above, why would anyone save taxes ?

We all know that the major tax revenues collected from us are consumed by Government officials and politicians (billions of dollars are lying in foreign banks).
A manufacturer works at a margin of between 2% to 10% , whereas government needs 30% of his income to cover it's expenditure. How fair it is all ?

That's the reason no one wants to pay taxes.
We save taxes for our necessities, family, for our old age, for our safety, security and this phenomenon is the sign of failure of Government in discharging it's own functions fairly and efficiently. Government alone is responsible for this.
But on the other hand...

We challenge that if Govt announces that ₹1000 crore is required for Indian Army or floods or earthquake victims...!!!

The same amnt will be deposited within couple of days by these "Tax Savers" only.

We will come forward with open hearts.
My dear friends,

If you agree with this point of view, please send it to the government. We all have faith in our Prime Minister and are waiting for India to change with bated breath.

Doctor.
Jai Hind🇮🇳

Why is #Kashi so significant to Hindus? Part-3 #Thread

"A Basic Description of the #Kashi Tirtha Yatra"

Even after performing crores of Yajnas one cannot acquire the opulence which one can get at every step while walking in the lanes of Kashi. (Kashi Khanda) Image
Tirtha "तीर्थ" is a Sanskrit word that means "crossing place, ford", and refers to any place, text or person that is scared. It particularly refers to pilgrimage sites and scared places.
Tirtha originally referred to a fordable river, which was chosen solely for its utility. Image

Wives & Pension: #Thread
How is my tax money being spent❓
Courtesy: #Congress

From a CA:
You might be astonished to discover what a government pension officer informed me when I asked how you offer pension to four wives of a retired Muslim government official if he die...? Image
His response...!!
We observe Nomination. If he has established a ratio, then we pay in that ratio among 4 wives...!!

If he does not choose a ratio, the family pension is distributed equally among 4 WIVES. This equates to each receiving 25% of the entire Family Pension...!
If the 1st wife dies, 33.3% of the remaining 3...!!
If the 2nd wife dies, 50% goes to each...!!
If the 3rd wife dies, everything goes to the 4th...!!

DID YOU KNOW ?
Contribution of #Mysore Empire - #Thread.

Brithishers knew about #KGF (Kolar Gold Field). In the year 1802, John Warner learned about the presence of gold and demarked the area, allowing him to export a small amount of gold.
From 1881 through 1946, John Taylor & Company exported 10,000 kg of gold to the United Kingdom each year. That's almost 6,50,000 kg of gold from #Mysore State, which is now #Karnataka. Even at that time, #Karnataka was the largest tax-paying state.
Britishers robbed the whole wealth of Mysore State during the 4th Anglo Mysore War in 1799. Due to a lack of money, work on the Mysore Palace was halted for four years. Even Dussehra was not celebrated between 1800 and 1804.

Why is #Kashi so significant to Hindus? Part-2 #Thread

"Significance of Tirtha Yatra"

Kashi is referenced in the Puranas and Mahatmya Granthas as a Tirtha Khestra.

मरणं मंगलं यत्र विभूतिश्च विभूषणम्।
कौपीनं यत्र कौशेयं सा काशी केन मीयते।।

Pilgrimage sites of 🇮🇳
Although pilgrimages are not mentioned directly in Vedic literature (about 2000-500 B.C.), they were regarded an important aspect of spiritual fulfilment
(Aitareya Brahmana)
In Vedic literature, the Sanskrit term yatra meant "travel" rather than "pilgrimage," but yatra was accepted as meaning "pilgrimage" in Puranic literature (500 B.C. - A.D. 700).

Why is #Kashi so significant to Hindus? Part -1 #Thread

#Gyanvapi
Varanasi does not receive much attention in Vedic literature, but its glory is strongly eulogized in puranic literature and treatises.
Kashi (The "Luminous"), Avimukta (The "Never-Forsaken" of Shiva, the patron deity), Anandavana (The "Forest of Bliss"), and Rudravasa (The "Dwelling site of Shiva") have all been used to describe the concept of image.

There were 7,32,000 Gurukul in this country until 1850, and there were 7,50,000 villages at the period. In today's language, every hamlet had an Gurukul, and all of these Gurukuls used to be referred to as "Higher Learning Institutes." All of them were taught 18 subjects..
In Gurukuls, education was provided for free. As a result, all Gurukulas were disbanded, English education was legalised, and the first convent school in Calcutta was established. It was known as 'free school' at the time.
