Refreshing #SCOTUS site while waiting on a hearing in #Dorchester hoping to vacate the decades-old case which resulted in my client's deportation eager to learn which of our rights the elder gods deign fit to preserve. Thurgood Marshall is on the wall, + he doesn't look happy

I continue to believe they'll hold Dobbs until the very end--as they always do for the big ones--but literally on the edge of my seat for the #MPP decision

Continuing a dismal trend, the court ends the ability to sue for Miranda violations. I am surrounded by some of the ppl most likely to have needed that right. That Marshall portrait looks a little angrier somehow

Justice Thomas ends the right for NY, MA, and four other states to impose strict (and until a few seconds ago Constitutional) regulations on personal handgun licenses. I'm sure this community which has suffered some of the worst gun violence in New England will appreciate this

A defendant is taking a plea through a Spanish interpreter from an incident in which he bargained an undercover cop down from 50 dollars to 30 in purchasing a stolen wireless speaker.

Today's court would never reach the legendary Warren Court holdings which provide the only protections between many of the people in this room and egregious acts of state misconduct. Many of its members are actively committed to ending them. Thurgood Marshall scowls for us all
