@Queen_Zeeka @kirkacevedo @UROCKlive1 Except Thomas Paine, Ben Franklin, James Monroe, & many Founding Fathers were Diest or didn't practice religion at all. While "God" is used, it isn't explicitly a Christian or any version of God. It's the whole reason that we have #1A, the nation was not founded on Christianity.

@Queen_Zeeka @kirkacevedo @UROCKlive1 It stemmed from England being a secular country, one ordained by a Christian God. The Founding Fathers didn't want that for the US as they all understood that religion can be used against the people, as had been the case in England at the time.

@Queen_Zeeka @kirkacevedo @UROCKlive1 While our laws line up with Christian values, they also line up with Islam, Judaism, and many other religions simply because many values of all religions align.

@Queen_Zeeka @kirkacevedo @UROCKlive1 Finally, the perfect spot to declare ourselves as a Christian nation would be in the Preamble of the Constitution. However, "God" isn't even mentioned in it. The very first words are "We the People of the United States."

@Queen_Zeeka @kirkacevedo @UROCKlive1 Hell, even in Article 2, Section 1, where the President swears an Oath of Office, God isn't mentioned.

@Queen_Zeeka @kirkacevedo @UROCKlive1 In all 10 of our Amendments, the Bill of Rights, makes no mention of being strictly Christian nor makes any other mention of "God," Christian or otherwise. As mentioned many times now, #1A ensures that no religion can be enacted by law. Our laws are written by and for humans.

@Queen_Zeeka @kirkacevedo @UROCKlive1 This myth that America was founded on Christianity is exactly what the Diest and non-Christian founders were afraid of happening. It allows Christianity to be used as a weapon against the rights of the people. It was even used to justify slavery, especially by the Southern States

@Queen_Zeeka @kirkacevedo @UROCKlive1 When you are able to claim a right is ordained by the God of a religion, it can also easily be taken away by those in power for that religion. It was that way with slavery, it's happening now with abortion, it may happen with inter-racial & same-sex marriages if we don't stop it.
