Hey everyone, I’m a mom. I work in an allied healthcare profession. I’m a so called #terf. I don’t have a singular #peaktrans experience, but rather a culmination of experiences. So here we go!

Almost a decade ago, I learned that terms #genderdysphoria and #transgender. There were some people who had extreme distress about their sex and they felt happier looking and presenting like the opposite sex. They worked closely with doctors and therapists.

I didn’t care. None of my business. But when hospital coworkers and staff started saying #TransWomenAreWomen , I started to question it. How could they literally be women? #whatisawoman ?

I was told that they are women because of their internal identity, because they identify with womanhood, because they live as women, etc. But what does any of that mean? Women are not a monolith. We all have different experiences, personalities, and beliefs. what makes us women?

We are women because we are #adulthumanfemales.
I was told it was misogynistic to equate woman with certain body parts. Well #SorryNotSorry but #sexnotgender is based on our anatomy and physiology. I don’t think womens lives and roles should be determined by our bodies.

But the difference between men and women, male and female is our bodies. I think it’s misogynistic to say that a man can be a woman because he identifies as one and takes estrogen.

#sexbasedoppression happens to women and girls because we are #female not because of our “gender identity”.

I felt like this issue was mostly staying in the fringes. Years go by. I have a few different jobs. Become a mother. And I’m starting to see the real danger and consequences of #genderideology.

#wispa #ymca #loudonva #keepsinglesexprison Men can enter womens spaces. If the women are afraid or uncomfortable or object, we are called bigots and #terfs. We are told to look the other way.

They try to humiliate us by saying “why are you preoccupied with genitals? You’re a pervert.” What happened to the #MeToo movement?

#SaveWomensSports we are pretending like the differences between male and female are arbitrary or non existent and female athletes are losing and suffering because of it.

I’ve had people slander my professional name, report me to ethics committees, and try to have me fired for speaking about this. I've been called anti-woman, alt-right, hateful, of course #transphobic and #terf.

We have to be brave. Yes I have an anonymous Twitter account. But I’m speaking up at work. I’m speaking in my childrens’ schools. I’m writing letters to politicians. I’m talking about it with friends and family. We have to speak up! The cost of fear and silence is too great.
