Been covering US politics for nearly 6 years now as part of my journalism work. I've been a Bernie fan since 2010. I tweet about communalism all the time - also my research theme.
Attempting to school a minority community person that "there's a lot happening in India" wow 🤡

Vandalism of a mosque and majoritiarian unrest led by RSS and Bajrang Dal over an interfaith elopement. Muslim man, Dalit woman. Woman's family hostile - a thread:
“In the mob were locals & representatives of a mix of organisations like the Bajrang Dal & RSS. Shera Yadav & Shubham are still moving around freely. No arrests have been made, which is contributing to the continuation of fear in the region. Ppl are leaving temporarily..”
Local Congress did seem to step up:
"A delegation of local Congress leaders met the Dewas district collector and demanded action against people who were involved in damaging the mosque."
